Try to see Ahu Tongariki (the fabulous 15 moai) at sunrise if the weather is not rainy. Clouds are ok.

We visited twice. First, at sunrise taking in a really beautiful scene. Then, a bit later in the day. There are fifteen restored moai, and the remains of some others on the site. The atmosphere is magic.
