One of the highlights while visiting Easter Island. The ocean and the sun make this place even nicer when it is visited in the right moment.

It’s very impressive. Also for sunrise. Best daytime visit in the afternoon. The ocean with is blue waters and the craters make it even better.

One of the best sunrises that i've ever seen! Espetacular, i loved, in the winter, you have to go about 7 ou 7:30 am, because the sun appears about 8 o'clock. If you do not get the sun, it totally worth come back another day.

This has to be one of the most unreal experiences of one's life! No amount of watching photos & videos can prepare you for the first time your eyes land on these megaliths. The best time to go there is during sunrise, and the road...More

What can be said about this place that hasn't already been said? It is simply stunning, 15 Moai in a row defying all logic and sense of scale. The viewing area is slightly sunken in and it makes them appear even bigger than they really...More

One of the premier sites on Easter Island, Tongariki features 15 massive Moai staues (one weighs in at 86 tons!) on an equally massive Ahu pedestal (the largest on the island). Facing inland from their coastal perch, these Moai are a very popular site for...More

We spent 7 days on Easter Island, actively doing activities and seeing sites every single day. And this is the most impressive attraction. Seeing the 15 statues side-by-side is awe-inspiring. I think this is one of the most special sites I've seen in the world....More

This is the place that is recommended for a sunrise spectacular, ideally with the sun rising behind the Moai. Of course that is only relevant during a small portion of the year, since all the Moai face towards sunset during the summer solstice. Never-the-less, with...More

I saw this site last and was glad I had saved it to the end. Simply breathtaking. I thought about coming here for sunrise, but I came in the evening around 4 and was 1 of 4 people, which was a great experience. I imagine...More

We were there last month (3/2015). They drive on the right side of the road. I saw a car rental place right in town but don't know what they cost. If I were you, I'd take a small group or private tour. The tour guides have... More
