The view plus the history of this place and how the king as elected, makes Orongo a magical place. A good guide is a must to understand the details.

This place is beautiful. No Moai there but the information center would give a perpective of the competition performed in those days. I would suggest a bit more information regarding the competition.

After Rano Raraku, Orongo was the most enjoyable place for me on Easter Island. The view of the ocean from here is spectacular. If you have limited time on the island make sure you see it and Rano Raraku.

No trip to Rapa Nui is complete without a trip to the Orongo crater. For the trekkers, its a nice walk uphill from Hanga Roa. Highly recommended!
