You can reach by taxi at a 7 soles cost from the main square, should be 10 minutes. The view point is good and you can take good pictures. The surrounding businesses and restaurants and not that good though. A bit sketchy.

To see the city of Ayacucho this is the place. Eight soles should get you there in a taxi from Ayacucho's Main Plaza. I think it is best to visit in the afternoon like at around 4:00 because the temps are cooling off. The views...More

The view is great. There are all sorts of restaurants next to the viewing area. There are also lots of small vendors with crafts for sale. For me, it is something one must do just to get an idea of the size of the city.

You could do it by foot, but it is recommended to take a taxi (6 soles) to the Mirador. The views are very good. The arches and Christ statue add something different to an otherwise regular overlook.

This viewpoint is a nice visit for an afternoon. Great view over the city and surrounding area. It is quite big and has a few restaurants, sometimes with live music, which makes it quite touristy. Kids with kites, young couples or complete families... It's an...More

It is always included in the city sightseeings but I did not take my breathe away as every other sight that I visit. Still the Christ is spiritual and a picture is nice to be taken.
