Took a little excursion in a business trip. Beautiful scenery and nature. Long lines, though. Great for kids with playgrounds, artists. Acrobats, and local food.

If possible ask the local people what days and times are best for avoiding long lines. If you go on a bad day (lot of people) you can be in lines for hours for almost everything (buy food, catch the gondola, use a restroom, etc). If there are no lines: It's the best attraction in Caracas for sure!

It's amazing how from high you can see two cities from the top of "El avila". From One side you can see Caracas, and from the other one you can enjoy the view of "La Guaira". The big hotel "Humboldt" is a building that brings memories from a time when people had fun in the 50's. It's worth to visit... More

Very nice, place and good experience with nice view over Caracas, but please don't do it during the weekend, especially around 12:00. It took for me 2,5h to get over there and 1,5h to came back. Ticket (31.07.2016) costed 1000Bs.F for an extranjero!

My fiancé and myself only had 1 day left in Caracas, so despite everyone advise the opposite we found one if her friends who was interested in going as well. OMG it was so worth it!! The view from the ride was amazing. (I suggest going up during daylight and come down during nighttime to see the difference and take... More

I use teleférico very regularly as I hike cerró el Ávila 4 to 5 times per month and the fastest way to go back to the city is by teleférico. The design, views and comfort are very good but the lack of maintenance councerns me very much regarding cabins, wiring, restrooms etc
