Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a contact zoo, with small and medium sized animals, that you can actually touch, pet and feed. It is very clean and you can spend a nice day with your family and kids in a whole new experience.

This Zoo is interactive, because you can touch the animals and feed them. Some animal are free in the Zoo. I think the weather is very nice for them.

Very beautiful place. Is an oasis in the city. The best part is the interaction with the animals that the kids can experience. Beside a learning experience for them is the excitement that kids live. Is a fantastic plan to enjoy and live with kids and family.

This is a small zoo where kids could buy and give food to all the animals. This is an open place, so you should go in a sunny day.

The giraffes were a bit gamey. Service was atrocious. Did NOT leave a tip. There was a horrible waiting line.

It is a place well arranged to have children get aquainted with a variety of exotic animals under proper guidance with a"touch" possibility

A few things before the review:
Yes, the zoo is far from the main city. Complaining about this place being too far is like complaining about Eiffel Tower being in another country. I recommend to search the location in a map and organize your trip with time. Try to reach early in the morning (it opens at 10 am) so you can make the most of your day.
Yes, the place smells. But that is the kind of things that you would spec from a place full of animals.
Yes, you have to pay for the food that you give to the animals. I assume that among other things by applying this, the park make sure visitor provide with suitable healthy snacks for animals.
My daughters enjoyed the ducks, gooses, chickens and peacocks whom walk freely around the park.
Bathrooms were clean. Personnel was helpful.
Overall animals were trusted regarding visitors and open to a friendly slap in the back.
Good parking lot
Can pay the entrance by credit/debit card.
Can pay animal food by debit card (not quite sure if you can use credit card for this one).
I went in the middle of the week so there was not cacatuas and/or parrots. We were told that public can only see them during the weekend to avoid to stress them too much. Which I think is nice.
On one side I have to say that the park looked clean with good roads and friendly hosts (including the guy from the main entrance).
On the other side I still have my reserves regarding such big animals kept enclosed in such small space. I am not zoologist, biologist or veterinary but I kinda assume that a zebra and a horse would rather deserve a more open space. Same thing goes to the flamingos whom I believe are in need of a more watery environment. The camel had injuries in its knees and no-one was able to answer why was that. Again I’m not and expert in this field so this is only my humble opinion.
Summary: Clean, organized park. Some concerns regarding animal well-being. Kids will definitely enjoy this visit. Open Monday to Sunday.
Recommendation: If you reach early enough you can enjoy the park and if you fancy you can even end the day at El Hatillo which is fairly close

The place is lacking maintenance. The animals look sick. It is not what it used to be back in the day. Awful.
