Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an easy walk into a ravine in the sandstone cliffs and is a pleasant stop on the drive through the Quebrada de Cafayate. The canyon goes on beyond the readily accessible area and there are signs telling you not to progress further but many people were clambering up the rock face to get to the higher levels. Sadly there are a number of vendors with craft and food stalls which detract from the natural splendour of the place.

Didn’t find the place particularly impressive, but it is next to the main road and only takes a couple of minutes to walk there. It’s interesting, but the star for me is the last 50 miles of the drive from Salta to Cafayate - it is really spectacular. Plenty of places to stop and take photos. We found it much more interesting than the drive from Salta to Humahuaca.

This is a great place to stop and take in the landscape between Salta and Cafayate. Not only is this a very interesting formation, but being among this landscape and walking for a few minutes is a nice break.

15 minutes after the stop in the Anfiteatro, the bus stopped here. Nice to stretch your legs, but not needed to visit when you are in the area.

Amazing views and free to enter. You can buy trinkets from the locals as well which are quite inexpensive and interesting.

What an amazing drive from Salta to Cafayate. This is a must see stop along the way and it is very close to the road ... no long hike to get there. It's a fun place to play photographic tricks like the photo I am posting with my review.

We drove down from salta to Cafayate and stopped off here. There’s limited signs and when there is one, stop, because it’s right there! A short walk up and it’s there. It’s beautiful and glad we stopped off. No toilets, a few people with stalls. Don’t go on a tour here, take a car!

Nature is impressive, and this rock formation does not disappoint. We were driving from Salta to Cafayate and came upon it, there is actually different rock formations along the way. Its interesting, but I am not sure I would travel out there just for this.

This is an interesting stop on the road from Salta to Cafayate. Children especially like to climb the rocks. Local people sell interesting goods along the pthway.

If you do not wear good shoes you can’t really enter to see anything. Also not a good place for the once that can’t walk well. But it was a nice place
