We stayed in Jirira for 3 days. There are many quinoa fields, and many wildlife. It is nice, though road is not paved, to drive through several villages in the area. 麓のヒリラに3泊滞在。キノア農地や多くの野生動物が見られる。舗装されていないが、地域の幾つかの村を抜けてドライブするのがいい。

This is off the beaten track in the north part of the salt flats - not part of 95+% of the tours - but I highly recommend it! We started the hike at 7AM - we were told by our guides that we could make...More

Took a tour there. Village has domesticated llamas and you can see quinoa plants. Pools of water on salt make mirror effect. Flamingoes.

This was another picturesque stop on our tour around the salt flats. We loved seeing the llamas grazing, various birds and the different colours in the rock formations around the mountains and volcano. We did a bit of walking around but it was mostly a...More

You can watch flamingoes and other wildlife from this place. Take a little picnic but be mindful to carry back the rubbish as some of the areas is becoming full of plastic litter. There is a small museum worth visiting and you can walk around...More

The views from the area (no need to go to the top of the volcano!) are mindblowing!! The scenery is beautiful there are a few mummies in a cave relatively easy to visit (entrance is a bit narrow). Tunupa Volcano area worth a visit!
