While the Siloli Desert is famous for its unusual rock formations, the real attraction is the stunning scenery with its huge open spaces, beautiful lagoons and spectacular Andean peaks. The journey from from San Pedro de Atacama across the Siloli to Uyuni is one of the most remarkable in the world. Get there in a 4x4 with a good guide... More

You can reach here with Atacama tour and this place is very interesting. Be careful with the high altitude disease though. Recommend to reach here with people as it's a good place to take pictures!

The rock formations of the Siloli desert are very photogenic. The best time would be late afternoon. The most famous rock formation is the "tree rock" but the other formations are fun to walk thru.

Very photogenic place. Instead of the cliche poses, try to do something funny instead. You will like those pictures better. This place provides the perfect setting for some meditation, imo.

This is definitely an awesome high-altitude dessert. What a great experience! We greatly enjoyed the views. A good tour guide will be able to provide some really good information about this part of Bolivia. I got thoroughly sun and wind burned up there and came home with blisters all over my lips so stay well hydrated, wear sunscreen and be... More

You will pass this desert on the Uyuni tour. The colours are so beautiful! And the form of the mountains too! The view is amazing and changes every minute. Really a great experience.

This was very surreal. Surrounded by sand and mountains as far as the eye could see there were so many formations and different colours. It was very windy as we were so exposed with nothing to provide shelter or deflect the wind. Driving through was fascinating and we stopped off a few times.

This is a magical part of the upper Bolivian planes Colors, lights, stones and shape of mountains make for the place look surreal, some of the features that may have been created by Dali's imagination The only negative is that most of the features are inaccesible except for the camera or too far to get to except through the lens...
