We ended up booking 3 days of whale swimming and swam with whales each day. Craig and his team are fantastic, experienced and really know their stuff. Each swim we had was different - we encountered young calves, mums and their "escorts". Really recommend this experience.

This has got to be one of the best experiences you can have in Tonga. We had the most wonderful day trip with great people. Swam with the whales five times which was absolutely incredible. Then got a beautiful sail in the sun as well as a delicious lunch, cookies, cup of tea or coffee! We have absolutely nothing bad to... More

My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend a day swimming with the whales while in Tonga. Our guide was cautious to respect the whales and helped us to spend ample time in the water with many different whales. Completely worth the day and expense in every way.

Wonderful experience! Mother nature did help out but having gone with other operators at other locales, Craig and team are the real deal. I felt that the team on the boat were most certainly very concerned with our safety, well being and satisfaction. I was very impressed. Craig went out of his way to be helpful and make sure our... My boyfriend and I only went out with Whale and Sail for one day but we couldnt have asked for a better day!! After a short walk down the beach to their boat we climbed aboard and found our first whale (mumma and a baby) within 15 minutes. Craig and the skipper approached all the whales we saw and swam... Arriving in Tonga and realising I could swim with these majestic creatures was an amazing feeling, yet the best was yet to come. By chance I met these guys in Mariner's cafe, booking to sail with them the following day. They offer a fantastic experience with the whales safety and your safety as paramount. It not guaranteed you will be... More

I spent several days on the water with Ha’apai Whale and Sail during the 2014 Whale season. I was very happy with the overall experience and we had lovely encounters. The team is hard working and dedicated, but most importantly very respectful of the whales. When we found whales, they would assess each time what was the best way to... More

We spent 3days whale watching with Whale and Sail from the Island of Uoleva in Tonga mid August 2014. We saw loads of whales, snorkelled with lots and had a brilliant time. Craig and Kristen were fantastic and operate a fabulous service. They are responsible, professional and genuinely have both the whales and our best interests at heart. Can't fault... More

Professional. Considerate. Amazing. I can't list enough superlatives for our experience with Ha'apai Whale and Sail. We had dreamed for years of actually swimming with whales but we also knew that once in a lifetime experience of hanging in the water for half an hour or more in close proximity to a mother and calf was a rare and improbable... My sister and I recently went out with Craig for one day. We wanted to go swimming the morning that we flew in, we asked another operator if this was possible and they said no, Craig was flexible and was happy to wait for us to fly in and come directly to the boat. Lunch was delicious. And I'm usually... More
