The trip is very expensive, although the part hardest to swallow in terms of price is the trip across the island. The volcano park charges 7500 vatu, which is absolutely worth it, but our accommodation charged another 7500 vatu just to take us to the park. But prices aside, the volcano is amazing, and we're absolutely delighted that we went.... More

this was incredible, we flew air taxi ( 8 seater cessna) with our great kiwi pilot Adam, from port vila out to tanna and around the island then around the open mouth of mount yasur breathing bursts of ashen clouds, then landed at the other tropical end of the island and did the one hour drive. as we approached the... How else can you visit an erupting volcano, perch on the crater lip, and watch Vulcan's hammer at work. Go in the afternoon so you can see the ash clouds by day, and fireworks at night. Enjoy the trip across the island to the volcano, and across the ash plain. Be delighted by the local guardian tribe as they dance... More

This is the third time here! Truly amazing experience. The best time to go is just before sunset, and then to stay after dark to see the glowing lava in the dark.

This is a very rare opportunity to see an active volcano SO very close. A bit scary so watch your footing! Great cultural performance to start off with, good value for the money (it costs about AUD 70). This won't be this accessible for long I don't think!

We showed up at the bottom of the Mountain, and had to wait until enough people showed for a full group to go up. Thankfully it wasn't too long, and the welcome ceremony was nice. The volcano itself can be tempermental. When we went up, it was category 3, which was "dangerous", so we were only allowed at one vantage... More

My partner and I stayed at white grass ocean resort and did the twilight mt yasur volcano tour. All tour guides were very friendly and welcoming. We were greeted by the local village with a dance and presented a small gift. We were divided into groups and went up the volcano by 4wd (seating both inside and also in the... More

It was unbelievable experience. Definitely one of the things you should see in your live. We had overnight tour at Mt Yasur on 5 November 2016. The tour was well organised. Thank you to all guys who took us to the top of the volcano. Really appreciate your effort. We had a flight with Air Taxi. The flight was safe... More

The tour up and down the mountain was fun, the whole group loving it. But the volcano is the best part of the trip. Where else in the world can a person stand at the edge of an active volcano? I could have spent hours there taking photos and enjoying myself. The tour is a must do activity in Vanuatu.... More
