At first, I find it hard to believe that this is the delta. The largest in the world. So large, in fact, it can be seen from space! Unlike many other famous wildlife regions in the African continent, Botswana’s Okavango Delta has few visitors. Obviously...More

We had just bad luck, as our guide was too lazy to really show us around even though he got paid. He brought no food, except one jar of sugar and 5 tea bags on a 3 day camping trip and expected us to provide...More

If you want to see animals without crowds, this is the place to go. We love Kenya and Tanzania, but when there is something interesting to see you'll have to jockey with 20 other vehicles to see the wildlife, and you have to stay on...More

It is a wonderful game area but it is unrealistic expensive. Lodges in the area and safari are very over prized.

Okavango delta is an incredible place. It's so beautiful and wild. We saw is from above and from the river and did walking safaris. One can see so many animal species in their natural habitat. We loved it.

For wildlife viewing it is probably better to visit in the dry season. We camped for two nights - which is probably too much for seniors. Interesting but long (2.5 hours plus) boat ride to camp site.

the Okavango Delta is a must see. Navigating the waters on a moroko, camping along the river, stunning sunsets, warm and friendly locals, walking in the bush... cannot be forgotten

We knew taht because of the rainy season, the delta was more dry then wet. But still we had some excellent game drives and saw lion, leopard (with prey) and had to run (with the 4x4 car) for elephants. Without no doubt one of the...More

Yes it is high risk area for Malaria. But it is ok if you cover your body well and apply mosquito repellent. The facilities in Okavango are very good.
