I was very impressed with everyone at Unlimited. I worked with Tom, who helped me plan our trip. He was very responsive from day one and helped with all my questions and arrangements. Our guide Joster was absolutely amazing. He was able to track the animals and we were usually the first one at a sighting. He positioned us for some great photos. After our drive we would head to camp where our tents were set up, water ready so we could clean up or take a shower. Zulu and Bucks made sure everything was perfect for our arrival. After the evening drive, we were welcomed by the sight of the fire and Zulu grabbing us our preferred drink. Next we moved to our dining area and would have the most amazing dinner cooked by Eddie. All meals were fantastic! The most disappointing part was we had t leave. I truly miss the guys and can’t wait until my return.

As a first-time safari traveler, I didn't know what to expect other than, I knew I wanted a glamping experience and I didn't want to have to cook, clean, set up, take down, or be responsible for planning the days. My girlfriend and I spent 11 days in Botswana with Unlimited and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. We did a two-day dome tent on an island, transfers by mokoro canoe, and then on to Moremi, Khawi, and Savuti. Our guide, Joster, was amazing. He knew tracking, the best photo spots, lighting for photography, location, and when best to view the game. It was a bit disappointing when Joster was called home for personal reasons and was replaced with another guide, but understandable. Chef Eddie was amazing. Every meal was better than the last. The presentation was incredible. Our helpers, Zulu, and Bucks made sure we had every comfort and necessity on request. Our tents, dining tent, wash bins, showers, and turndown were superb. While we were in the bush for 11 days, everything in our campsite was clean, neat, and always organized.

Unlimited helped with the planning of the transfers upon our final days in Botswana as we went on to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls. I highly recommend this tour operator and I have recommended them to friends considering this kind of safari. You won't be disappointed.

We just finished a private custom mobile safari with Moses and his team, and it was incredible! They helped us plan an itinerary around our priorities (to experience as much wildlife diversity as possible), and planned the entire trip for us, including 10 days on “mobile” tented safari plus shorter stays at tented camps and lodges at the beginning and end of the trip. We absolutely loved the experience! Moses is an outstanding guide with deep knowledge and extensive experience. He taught us how to listen carefully to the bird and animal calls, look for animal tracks, and watch for animal behaviors. He was infinitely patient as we took thousands of pictures, and has an amazing ability to maneuver to get us the best views. He is also an exceptional photographer and we sought his advice repeatedly for getting the best pictures. In addition to the “typical” safari animals (lions, zebras, elephants, hippos, leopards, hyenas, antelope, etc,) we saw several “hard to find” animals including the African Wild Dog and 2 types of genet, among others. His bird knowledge is vast, and he helped us find and study SO MANY species. We also really enjoyed the night drives to see animals not out during the day.

The camp was cozy and comfortable. It was the best of both worlds - being “in the bush” and close to nature, surrounded by the incredible beauty of Botswana and the sights and sounds of wildlife - but with the “creature comforts” of a comfortable bed (with mattress!), hot showers, and an “en suite” long-drop toilet and bucket shower. Eddie cooked up incredible meals for us (including quiche, frittata, and fresh bread daily), and Zulu could not have been more helpful, making sure we always had everything we could want. Moses definitely has the “dream team”, and we look forward to traveling with his team again!

This was my first time in Botswana and I already want to go back! I knew I was in for a good time beforehand but little did I know how goos it was going to become! Everything was amazing! The food was better than most hotels or restaurants! The team was great and always happy! And the animal sightings were outstanding! After the mobile I went to a lodge but I acctually liked the mobile safari more.
The trip consisted of four nights in Moremi, three in Kwhai and three at Raadinare camp. We saw some amazing wild life in each park. For example we saw a lone lioness attacking a heard of arround a thosand buffalos! We also saw a female lepard getting rejected by her cub. And those are just two of many crazy sightings.
I just want to thank the guys at Unlimited for making the trip so good and i hope to see you guys again!

I have travelled with Unlimited on previous occasions but it was with photographic guides and with 8 guests. This time it was a privately arranged trip with two other ladies. I really cannot find any fault at all with the whole arrangement. We were collected from our lodge on the first day by our driver/guide and throughout the whole trip we were very well looked after.

We started off with four days in Moremi, four in Khwai and four in Savuti. Each time we moved to a new site the tents were always ready and waiting. The food was good and the sightings we had were excellent.

I can honestly say that we had the 'Dream Team' and would not hesitate recommending Unlimited Safaris to anyone.

This was my FIFTH trip with Unlimited which, I think, speaks for itself. I usually travel in a group with Andy and Sarah Skinner of Images of Wildlife but this year, although I did travel with them and Unlimited in July, three of us had decided to 'do our own thing'. It had been arranged some time ago but, because of Covid, we had to keep changing our dates and Unlimited were always very helpful with us doing this.

The three of us were guided by Joster, who has the most amazing eyesight and our chef was Eddie (how he cooks with the limited facilities he has I will never know - great food whatever our taste). Also in camp was Zulu and Lopi who were always so helpful and pleasant, with Zulu bringing our drinks round the campfire in the evening without even having to ask and Lopi giving us our 'wake up call' and hot water every morning.

As Joster knew we all loved leopards he went above and beyond to find them for us and we saw so many in the end we named ourselves 'The Leopard Ladies!'! Of course, we saw countless other things - lions on a kill, lions leaping a stream, lots of elephants, plenty of birds to name but a few.

These guys do an amazing job of moving camp. Between 3 of them they had to dismantle our three tents, fill in the 'loos', pack up all the bedding etc, pack up all their own equipment and then move to our next camp where they had to erect everything again and dig new holes for our long drop loos. All this being done while Joster took us on an extended game drive to our new camp. There is sometimes an odd occasion where the new camp site is not quite ready but they have always put up a covering where we could sit and have a drink etc.

Nothing seems to faze them and we had many a laugh, including one evening watching two of the guys go running off into the bush in chase of a honey badger that had managed to steal a rubbish sack!

If you are up for a bit of an adventure, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these people.

I would just add that, if you are a photographer, both Joster and Moses have quite a good grasp of photography themselves and always manage to find just the right spot in just the right light.

We are already planning our next trip with them and to all the team at Unlimited, a big Thank You!

After 7 trips to Africa, this was our first experience in a Mobile Camping Safari. It was a special trip for me because it was the first time I was accompanied by my daughter Kenya and my son Alvaro. And I think I'm right in saying that it has been an unforgettable experience for all of us. Our safari lasted 12 nights with 4 nights in Moremi, 3 nights in Khwai, 3 nights in Savuti and 2 nights in Chobe water front. We were really happy with our team. Our guide, Joster, always attentive to our suggestions on what we preferred to see or do. His good humour and the effort to contact my children, especially Álvaro, even though our English is not perfect, is to be highly appreciated. He exhibited a good knowledge of wildlife, including birds. Many moments shared with him that we will not forget.
OT was our chef. It's hard to believe how the varied food could be so good with the most rudimentary elements to cook it, to the point that the greeting "Good evening folks. Your dinner is ready" that greeted us every day for dinner became one of the highlights of the day. Thank you very much for your efforts to meet Álvaro's demands. One detail is that when we ordered toast for breakfast on the first day, there was never a shortage on subsequent days.
Also many thanks to Lopy and Shadrack, our camp assistants: the hot water and wood for the fire were always ready. Such a trip is not without setbacks and when the support vehicle carrying the entire camp broke down on the way from Khwai to Savuti and it became clear that the camp would not be ready in time, Unlimited Tours and Safaris found a solution and found us accommodation at Camp Savuti (without any additional financial demands. Thank you very much for that ¡¡¡¡). All in all an excellent service in all aspects. I give them a score of 9.9 out of 10 (and that's because the only thing I missed was a hot water bottle in the morning to combat the freezing August mornings). I hope they polish up that little detail for the enjoyment of future travellers. An experience to repeat in the future and if so, Unilimited Tours and Safaris will be my safe choice. All the best for all the team¡¡¡

Dear Juan, it was a priviledge to have you and your family in our camp, and we are very happy to hear that your first visit to Botswana was a good one! We will take note of the hot water bottle and look forward to seeing you again soon!

I’ve been on mobile safari before, many times. This is the first time I’ve ever had so much anxiety on a safari and been so disappointed.

We paid for 6 nights safari, 2 nights hotel in Maun, 3 hour Mokoro ride and transport to and from the airport. We paid 7 months in advance.

3 days before leaving, we reminded them of our arrival. They asked us who was picking us up and where we were staying. That was their job. We sent them the invoice they sent to us where this was covered and they said they had it under control.

The day we were supposed to leave, our flights were cancelled (not their fault) but I tried to call and let them know of the updated flight. All calls went unanswered. They finally responded to an email saying they got the updated information and we wouldn’t get our money back for the hotel on arrival night (fine, last minute change) but that the hotel wasn’t available for the final night either because of “renovations” which was odd, the last night was never impacted. Why was it suddenly unavailable? I think it’s because they completely forgot.

We start our safari and the car is unreliable. I’m not talking old, refurbished or dusty. The car wouldn’t start half the time, there would be smoke coming out from under the hood, burning smells, random wheels stopped turning mid-drive and the passenger door would randomly open mid-ride. The guide was constantly having to put in motor oil, jump the car, be under the hood and working on the tires to get them moving again. He even had go tie the passenger door so it would stop opening while we were moving.

The guide had zero knowledge of our Mokoro ride and where we were staying in Maun. He called numerous times at each gate we passed - calls went unanswered for days. He even went to the gates while we took an afternoon naps to try to resolve everything but said no one answered or no one called him back. The Mokoro ride eventually happened, but only because we armed the guide with proof we paid for it.

The guide also said he’s worked for many mobile safaris. They usually give a print out with all the details but he didn’t get one for us. He said he was called 2 days before (conveniently around the time we reminded them of the safari) and everything was instructed over the phone.

The crew was fine, the food was good though we ate cold cuts everyday for lunch, and the guide showed us all we came to see but it felt like our safari was completely forgotten by Unlimited, then slapped together last minute. If we hadn’t reminded them, I bet we would have been stranded at the airport. How can you pay a company thousands of dollars and have to remind them you paid for a safari?

When I thought it was all over and we just go to the airport now, Unlimited had one last surprise. They didn’t pick us up from the hotel to the airport. They didn’t bother to tell us there was a problem with the car until we called, and they weren’t going to pick us up until 1 hour before the flight - leaving us no time to get through passport control, baggage, security and board. The hotel called a taxi. Thankfully we did, we arrived with only 5 minutes to spare before boarding.

When I got home, I saw they had taken a high profile client out based on their social media posts, so I guess that took priority over us. It was upsetting considering we saved up for 2 years for a mother-daughter safari and we should have just gone with someone else we knew and trusted.

Dear Lindsay, we are extremely sorry to hear about your experience. We have internally gone through your safari and there was some errors done on our side that are now corrected. We are happy that you were able to see all you came for but once again we are deeply sorry for the information and vehicle issues you experienced. We hope to get the chance to show you the true Unlimited experience in the future.

First of all , it was our first mobile safari , just the two of us with Master , our driver and guide , Oti and Lopi , cook and camp staff, and we loved every minute of it . We were in the green season and still saw loads, not too hot , not too cold just right
Some suggestions for future travellers , other than you must do this
Let them know what you want to drink before you go , you will probably be on a safari vehicle for 10 hours a day . In March you may need a light fleece at 5.30 am , and long sleeves on a shirt at 9 am when it starts getting very hot , and or good sun screen
Pack head torches, good for breakfast , dinner , and finding the toilet at 2am
You don’t need many clothes ,their packing list is well worth consulting
Talk , or email with Tom at head office to plan your trip , exceedingly helpful and happy to answer any questions.
Fabulous trip , very professional company , we booked this trip for just the two of us , and were very happy we did , when we once saw another vehicle ( just once in Khwai) which had 7 people in it , we felt so spoilt
Thank you Unlimited Safari
