Small zoo site that is very poorly maintained. Walkways are covered with plants or broken. Animal cages are way to small and you can see the animals misery. Especially the chimpanzees were in a bad physical and mental shape... Gave me quite a depressive feeling...More

The Kumasi Zoo is closed at the moment due to the ongoing contruction work of the Kejetia Market. I passed but the zoo many time one my trip to Ghana in January 2017. But the near by cultural center still opened

This zoo is waste of time and money. Zoo without animal. I will not recommend to anyone. This is not accessible by transport. This should not be called zoo.

Rubish........ absolutely rubish.... i mean..... y even bother creating the zoo... the animals look so bored... its jux dry.... nothing of interest.... you will have mor fun watching natgeo than going too the zoo... so sad

To the credit of the keepers, the animals appear clean and moderately healthy. The pens vary, some look spacious and adequate, some look so pitiful you could almost cry in sympathy for the poor inmates. Lions looked healthy and happy, snakes, turtles, other miscellaneous creatures....More
