I had a terrific solo adventure in Morocco with Hamed as my guide. He took me all over, from Marrakesh to the Sahara to Fez. Sometimes he would provide local experts as well. He has deep knowledge in geology, fossils and astronomy. The large telescope viewing from the Sahara was excellent. Hamed was always looking out for me, making sure I did not get any digestive issues (I didn't), keeping me comfortable, and making sure I made all my travel connections. I can't imagine a better guide for Morocco.

A decade ago we have met an interesting guy, named Mohamed Segaoui at the fossil meeting in Munich. His stand was filled with exquisite specimen of fossils and following a short discussion, we have learned that he is also guiding geological tours in Morocco. Not long after this chance meeting we we went on a 10 day tour guided by Moha. It really was a trip of a lifetime! Everything went smooth, guiding was impeccable and the suggested itinerary well organized (following a geological time scale). Moha also made extra effort in helping with my wife's gluten-intolerance. Moreover, he was always on time, going an extra mile (for instance by arranging an alternative camel-trip, when we expressed our wish and waiting for me, when I enthusiastically was searching for trilobites). In addition, all of our stays were in nice accomodation. Last but not least, the price that was agreed upon was exactly the price we have payed. Following the 10 days in Morocco, our tour ended, but our friendship with Moha (and his brothers) is still here, stronger than ever. In short, I highly recommend taking a tour with Atlasgeotours, you will be in good hands.

We had an absolutely amazing trip around some of the best palaeontological sites in Morocco courtesy of Moha of Atlas Geo tours. We saw some spectacular fossils and minerals including beautiful spikey trilobites, and some stunning geological sites including the Devonian mud mounds. Moha Segaoui is a fantastic guide, he is incredibly knowledgeable about fossils, geology and astronomy, and is very friendly and accommodating. I have used Atlas Geo tours many times now and every time it has been fantastic. I highly recommend Atlas Geo tours for anyone who is interesting in palaeontology or geology. Once again a massive thankyou to Atlas Geo tours for a fantastic trip, I will be using you again soon.

We had a true adventure in Morocco, all because of the excellent itinerary put together by Moha of Atlas Geo Tours. We flew into Tangier and toured Morocco including the Blue City, Hercules Caves, Chefchaouen to Vulubilis, Fez to Midelt and through the Ziz Valley, camped in the desert with stargazing and a beautiful sunrise, onto Erfoud, Rissani and through the High Atlas Mountains ending in Marrakech - phew!

We experienced the true off the beaten track places to the tourist hot spots, culture, food, people and the amazing geology and landscapes. We had the opportunity to collect our own fossils and minerals with expert guidance and tuition and visit the local dealers.

If you want a "mixed salad" tour, then Atlas Geo Tours is totally the way to go, they organised everything, hotels with DBB and picnic lunches, cars with drivers and provided so much information regarding the sights with no hidden costs. They can build your itinerary to suit your interests and ours was a perfect one. Thank you Moha for making this trip of a lifetime so memorable.

Moha is a fantastic local guide with expertise in the geology and environmental history of Morocco. He organised our field trip for 15 undergraduate students and took us to many fantastic sites across the Atlas and southeastern desert. He knows all the best sites to see fossils -- from stromatolites to dinosaurs. All the hotels and restaurants he selected were wonderful; brilliant food and accommodation. I really appreciated all the extra effort that Moha and his team went to to look after us during Ramadan. I would highly recommend him for any kind of field trip or geo tour of Morocco. I can't wait to go back.

If you are interested in fossils or fantastic scenery or even astronomy the this is the tour to go on. Our trip consisted of some of the best fossil sites Morocco has to offer. Couple that with one of the most knowledgeable guides in the industry, Moha and your onto a winner. Moha takes care of all your needs and makes sure that all you have to do is enjoy yourself. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures but at the same time don't forget to stop and look around you and take in everything you see. We wouldn't hesitate to use Atlas geo tours for a tour and hope to go back again soon.

Last November my PhD student and I had a fantastic tour of some of the best palaeontological sites in the Tafialt. We went with Atlas Geotours with Moha Segaoui leading the trip. We got to see the fantastic Devonian mud-mounds, the trilobite locality of Jbel Issimour where we found our own specimens, though I doubt we have the preparations skills to get them out of the rock in one piece. We also saw some amazing crinoid mines with the most beautiful examples of crinoid ‘forests’ that must have been swept over in a mud flow. A nice surprise was a visit to an old vanadinite mine where we were able to collect some amazing hematite specimens, and also buy some beautiful minerals from other parts of Morocco. This was my fourth or fifth trip with Atlas Geotours, and we had a great time. I forget the name of our hotel, but it had super food and a swimming pool, though November is usually cool in Morocco, it certainly wasn’t last year and we had a couple of days at +30 degrees, so the pool was pretty welcome.

Moha was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgable and very frienldy. His English is excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

Honnestely I was fascinated by the high standing service if atlasgeotours service .from the start to the end the owner and general manager was there to make sure all was under control . Hotel . Vehicule. Food all . He was there ready to solve any eventual problem . Once we got to erg chebbi there was our great surprise . After a full day of prospection and a field collecting activity . Everybody happy . A big tekescope 200mm. Showed up suddenly and we were asked to follow for a stargazing cession in the sahara . Really fascinating .clear sky .and millions of stars . We all were very exited and enjoyed it lots .next day they took us to explore erg chebbi aerea and listen to black community music . Descendant of slaves brought from Sudan during the. 7th century .verry rich and fascinating trip .
The highlight is all the trip was a highlight in itself. Mixt rich and interesting. Geology . Archeology . Astronomy . Culture and adventure
We highly recommend them for ever .

I contacted Atlasgeotours very late for planning a fossil and cultural experience. I could only do an abbreviated trip with my son, and as I am Australian I only speak English (sadly). Hamid could not have been more helpful in organising a trip for the two of us. His guide, Yousef, was called on to pick us up from the airport at 0130 because our flight from London was diverted for 5 hours. Now that is real service, but it got better as he took us to some amazing sites where I was able to collect some great specimens for my little collection. Yousef adapted times for us, and we had plenty of great stops which combined toilet and cultural. The hotels that were arranged for us were all good and we loved the variety of foods.
I will certainly be coming back to Morocco with Atlasgeotours and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. Many thanks to Hamid and Yousef for the excellent service.

I have just returned from a 10 day field trip guided by the amazing Moha of Atlas Geotours. Moha was a fantastic guide and made sure that we were all well taken care of and comfortable at all times. The trip itself was amazing especially the stay in Bou Tharar, somewhere I hope to return someday. I highly recommend Moha and Atlas Geotours and look forward to returning to Morocco in the future. Thank you Grand Chef!
