Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting Jiaxiu Tower, perched gracefully along the Nanming River in Guiyang, was like stepping into a scene from a traditional Chinese painting. This ancient three-story pavilion, famed for its elegant architecture and cultural significance, stood as a symbol of Guiyang's rich history. Crossing the historic Fuyu Bridge to reach the tower, I was captivated by the picturesque surroundings. Inside, the collection of artworks and calligraphy told stories of bygone eras. The view from the top, overlooking the river and cityscape, was breathtaking, especially as the sun set, casting a golden hue over the landscape. Jiaxiu Tower offered a serene escape, blending historical charm with scenic beauty.

Go there in the evening after your dinner; and nice to have a cup of Chinese tea there. Guiyang's summer evenings are breezy and cooler than the afternoon. Good to take a walk along the river.

Worth a visit as part of a wider tour around Guiyang as the tower itself is completed in under ten minutes. Pretty location in the middle of the river that winds through the city center. Don't forget to visit the CuiWei pavilion a stone's throw from the Tower. Beautiful cherry blossom trees and an artist's studio at the rear of the property.

Built in 1597 AD. Climb up the 3-storey pagoda to get a bird's eye view of downtown Guiyang. Explore the Ciuwei Gardens next to the pagoda. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the promenand
leading you to the center of the city with a wide open public square. Enjoy an afternoon tea or visit some of the shops and buy yourself a keychain carved out of a Chinese pea pod seed the size of a walnut.
Ideal for first timers visiting Guiyang.

Visited Jiaxiu Tower with friends and it is a great place for a walk and to take photos. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, some even on the river which makes for a great dinner watching the world go by!

Jiaxiu Tower is a nice sight to see in the middle of the city. It’s a great place to take some photos. I would recommend a visit just for a short time. There is not too much to see at the tower but you can walk along the river and visit other sights around.

You'll find this if you walk along the river in the centre of Guizhou. It's a lovely spot and a good example of fine architecture. I think it's worth a look.
