After an interesting visit to the "high quality" workshop with our private guide, we were ushered to the shop. To be nice, i opted to get two lacquer bangles. I later discovered that was sold with a defect. The next day that same bangle had a serious scratch. We were told that the lacquerware in that workshop is made to last forever. Beware.…

It is fascinating to see how the lacquerware is made and the amount of work and time it takes to make these beautiful items. They do not pressurise you into buying and are happy to share the working of the place.

I had never been to a lacquerware workshop earlier and the craftsmanship and the end products were so impressive. Every piece made there was precious. Hats off to the art and craftsmanship.

Extremely high quality product and great to watch the artisans at work and learn the process. No pressure to buy the product, but it was impossible not to!!
