This temple has my favourite wall frescoes from the whole trip. It is less busy and definitely worth a trip to.

Another temple which is a little more difficult to reach, this one has also been the victim of some recent earthquake damage. Probably looked quite impressive without the tarpaulin covering the top.

This was one of the busiest temples visited. Very ornate, monks were tidying up as well as praying. Local populace also at worship. Best to find a quiet spot to people watch. Popular with families. There are quite a few buildings here to see, all...More

When I was here, I didn't meet any other travelers. I just sat down to update my journal and ended up talking to locals who wanted to practice their English or just where curious at all kind of differences between their and my live.

Like most temples in Myanmar, this temple too is full of history, a nice temple but not as grand as other temples, worth a visit if you have the time & is interested I history. Make sure you take a Guide or a Guide book...More

This is a nice temple with reasonably visible original art on the walls inside. It is not a must-see, but it is certainly worth the time to visit.

Tip: Star Beam is an excellent restaurant (check my review and pics) conveniently located in Old Bagan. Delicious Burmese food (and it also has some European food)! Don't miss the warm bread! Not too special (just average) but you can be the only tourist there...More
