This market is called Mani Sithu market to be exact, located in Nyaung U. It does not make any different if you do not have time to visit this place though. Since our hotel is nearby, so after finished our hotel breakfast, we went to...More

Stopped at the markets and was impressed with selection of products available. If you want a real taste of local life in Bagan this is the place to go .

This bustling, vibrant market is mainly for local people, which adds to its attraction. There's fruit and vegetables in profusion: we bought green tea very cheaply, and just about anything else you might need. We bought longhis and cotton shirts, which have washed well. There...More

Nice to see local products and people buying foodstuff. A lot of colours and perfumes. A little bit crowded but recommended.

We have been to a few market places in Myanmar. This market, like the others, had its own atmosphere and buzzing vibe. No doubt the vast variety of locals made the visit so enjoyable.

If you've seen markets in other developing countries, this won't impress you, unless you are looking to buy some cheap souvenirs. It's quite large.
