Horse Cart 144 and the driver U Kyaw Tun in Bagan shows a good example that everyone can do something for the future. 10% of the income goes to the school in Taungbi Village and support students for the future of Burma. The driver U Kyaw Tun is your local helper with everything from food to tickets, he speaks good English and he can also introduce you to the monks at Jotiparla Welfare Monastery where he supports a welfare school. Also, you can ask U Kyaw Tun to arrange Family Cooking Experience at Jotiparla Welfare Monastery, so you can learn how to cook and experience real local food.

Visiting the astonishing Bagan temples is a lifetime memory no matter the way you visit them. We did the one hour horse cart tour, it was nice, but quite enough. I wouldn't like to do it longer than that. I don't want to be misunderstood....More

Horse and cart rides in Myanmar must win the prize for being the least comfortable in the world. In Mandalay, the drive occupied all the space at the front and the two passengers had to lie in the scarcely passed 'cart' (a wooden rectangle), facing...More

With a helpful driver, a horse cart ride is a great way to see the Bagan fields, temples, and local villages. Although the roads are bumpy and you feel each one in the cart, this is a wonderful way of seeing the fields and getting...More
