First walk through Dhulikhel bazaar, then climb the thousand steps and reach the top of this hill, where you will find the temple and a friendly Sadduh, who collects international paper money, but also accepts a Nepali banknote (only one to our surprise). You can’t...More

The hike up from Dhulikel is quite a nice, scenic trek along a hillside with sweeping views of the surrounding rice terraces and the Kathmandhu Valley. The Kali Temple is in a place with a beautiful view, but the temple itself is not that interesting....More

Dust and poor maintain temple. Afternoon trail is safe. No road lamps after dark. You can reach by road or by 1000 stairs. Good for afternoon walks. Green. Wild flowers. Rest shades. But no toilet facility.

Easily figured out that visiting Kali Temple was the topmost to do list while in Dhulikhel. Was worried if the road leading to the top was spoilt by heavy rain during previous night, however, found that road was smooth till a kilometre to the top...More
