There is a very wide range of sea animals in tanks and you can choose whatever you like. We saw quite a number of dead fish in various tanks which was a bit off putting. You do tend to feel very sorry for the animals...More

Rows and rows of restaurants serving their own specialties! What I love as a tourist: -lots of choices depending on the gravity of your hunger and craving: there's ready-to-eat street food, or for those who can wait, pick your live seafood and have them cook...More

My family doesn't speak Hangul, but we wanted to eat like the locals. We spent a pricy 150,000₩ to eat sashimi, crab and fish soup. The fish is caught right there in local waters, as is the crab. Can't get fresher. While the sashimi wasn't...More

Went via bus from Seoul. It is a great way to get a different feel of South Korea. The foods on offer were amazing - especially the varieties of seafood. Movies have been made here at the ocean. Broadens your sense of the country.

Non stop, fresh sashimi of many varieties of fish, squid, octopus. A haven for seafood and sashimi lovers! There are many stalls to choose from, but virtually all sell the same thing. Cooked options are available too, but most are meant to be served raw....More

After visiting a nearby temple we were looking for a place to eat. We noticed a lot of lights coming from this area so we decided to stop. Little did we realize how popular Daepo Port is for fresh seafood. There are hundreds of little...More

You just can not feel that you have a lack of choice. Go fishing, catch a fish and it is sashimi at your table within 10 minutes. I feel that the close in fishing is a bit fished out so tell the captain to go...More

A little cheesy but kinda still fun port time with lots of night time activities such as fireworks (3,000 won) and horse-ridden rides, personally love Gwang-eo hui (abt 15,000) per fish and crab (1kg = 50,000), parking is hard and smokers everywhere. If you can...More

The Sokcho fishing village at Daepo Port was amazing - full of so many fish I had never seen before. The entire area was spotlessly clean, and quite a few were selling cooked product. We ate naked prawns covered in batter, which were delicious! As...More
