Not sure if the TA description is for the boat trip over Talay Noi but that is what I am reviewing. The boat charter is 800 baht and it will take you at sunrise across to the main inland lake to view the floating fishing...More

Beautiful boat ride - water buffalo part was great. The remainder was also very enjoyable although we went midday and would’ve seen more birds earlier or later. Bring a rain jacket if there’s even a remote chance of rain.
The place: This is a MUST place to visit.

Hello. As Greg says, there is a wide range of birds. Ducks and waders predominate but the margins have lots of other birds including woodpeckers and barbets. It is well worth a visit, but we were there in March. For these birds I would not expect much difference in August, but migrants may be in shorter supply, although the autumn one may just be starting. We hope you have a lovely time there.

Good Morning. Songkla is about 160 km in the South away from Thale Noi. When you go in direction of Phattalung you will find the sing to Thale Noi. Arrived there you will see a sign with Thale Noi Floating Market. Follow this sign and you will see the place to hire the boat. The boat is 450 Baht and they drive you 1.5 hours over the lake.
Enjoy your time
