Great clean beach loaded with tasty restaurants! Awesome winds for kite boarding. Very friendly and safe town.

The view is stunning and the water is beautiful and warm enough to play in. You are often approached by very pushy vendors. Can be too windy for many water sports, so use caution and plan well.

White sand, clear blue ocean and always a lovely warm wind. Perfekt if you love some waves, and the wind makes the temperature feel perfekt.

Cabarete Beach is probably the most wonderful beach location I have ever visited. A totally amazing place that does not have that overdone feel. A beautiful place that I think gives you a true Dominican experience. Go there... More

If you're adventurous, do the waterfalls, but it's kind of a high thrill (as you will be required to jump off some cliffs) and there's a lot of walking involved. If not, both Sosua and Cabarete are great beaches, the main... More

If your idea of three months vacation is beach and wind surfing, it might be suitable. But Dom Rep had so much to offer, I'd recommend rotating vacation towns -- a few weeks in each of the diverse communities of: 1) Caberete... More
