In a word, horrible, seaweed lined the beach for miles. I was told this happens every few years when storms occur out in the ocean. Nevertheless, we were disappointed since the beach is the primary reason we vacation in the Caribbean.

It was very relaxing and felt comfortable going in the water. There was some seaweed but was reported as unusual. I will be back to the same beach and had very comfortable beds.

Love the beach. Not crazy about the seaweed but it gets picked up on a daily basis from the shore. Must visit!

Dirty Beach, with a lot of sea plants Also many waves. Not clear water; Not liked at all. Maybe at other seasons will be better...

Still seeing a lot of seaweed at the beach with no end to the uncomfortable feeling. The seaweed was annoying and irrelevant. It was tremendously itchy and really aggravating.

The water has some of the most beautiful hues I have ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous blue waters with incredible reef spots and soft white sand. OF COURSE there is seaweed!!! It IS the ocean! I found some days it was worse than others but regardless...More

Awesome beach but sometimes all the plants get in the sand, but it is cleaned very often, the colors are awesome and the resorts are 5+ stars

Stayed at Occidental Punta Cana May 12 to May 19. Walked alot of Bavaro Beach. Beautiful sand and warm water. The only issue was seaweed washing in every night, but the best resorts cleaned it up everyday.

The beach was overrun with seaweed. They had staff out there with rakes, shovels AND bulldozers to remove it but you STILL couldn't swim in the ocean
