Another interesting historic fort site. Nice views from this headland near Ancud. Here was a few vendors selling souvenirs and crafts on the path down to the fort.

It's nice for a little walk around. It's not mind-blowing, but we liked it, and it's good for a stroll along the edge of the sea.

As above. A few old cannons and street vendors selling little wooden boats and paintings. I think there were some unofficial tour guides giving ill-informed unsolicited speeches, then asking for money. It is free and only takes 10 minutes to walk around.

As this is a historic site in a beautiful spot overlooking the sea, it was worth a visit, but if Ancud really want to attratc tourists information in English is needed

The fort is really nice and a short walk away from the center of town. Not too much to see, but very interesting architecture and great views of the ocean. There is a little path that leads down to the beach that you can take....More

Very tiny viewpoint which only took us 10 minutes to explore, but easy to get to so why not! Has a great sea view and possibly you could access a tiny beach.

This fort was really close to where we were staying so we popped in. It is free entry and has a nice view point of the beach.

It was storming and raining when we got to the entrance of the fort. The guard had forgotten the key to the gate so we had to enter from the side where the fence was down. The location was strategic and the little view we...More

The fort at Ancud is a large construction right on a headland overlooking the water. It is a beautiful location, well maintained and we'll worth a visit.

Not much to say about this place really. It's the remains of an old spanish fort, close to town and an interesting visit with great view and some well preserved cannons. Not much else, go with low expectations and just enjoy this place.
