The guide was very knowledgable. We had a lot of questions as 2 couples from different backgrounds(Australian and German).
We especially lined the peaceful Zekate house and are still a little sorry, that we did not haf the opportunitiy to try the homemade Rakei

It's fantastic to hear that your guide was knowledgeable and accommodating, especially given your diverse backgrounds. The Zekate house sounds like a peaceful and intriguing place, and it's understandable to have a bit of regret about missing out on trying homemade Raki. Perhaps you'll have the opportunity next time!

It was a great tour. The guide was amazing, he was born and raised there so he knew every detail of the city and the castle. He had very interesting facts and knew a lot of the history

Vickor was a great and patient teacher and it was refreshing to see his passion for woodcarving and Gjirokaster show through his work. Experience Gjirokaster were also fantastic at translating and providing more information about the history of Gjirokaster. We would 100% recommend this experience.

This was one of the best parts of our 2-week trip in the Balkans! The host, Marijeta is talented and charismatic. Our translator was a brilliant and funny high school student who was very skilled at translating and being in conversation. We do cooking classes in every place we visit and this one was less hands-on than others we’ve done but incredible food and a great vibe overall.

Took a day tour from Gjirokaster to Benjë thermal baths and Permet. Both our driver and the tour guide were super friendly and funny and spoke good English! The drive through the Albanian mountains is absolutely stunning. We had a good amount of time at the baths and were able to explore and find 5 thermal baths by hiking through the canyon. After we stopped for lunch at Trifalia in Permet, where the food was really amazing! You also had the option to explore Permet rather than sit down for lunch but we were hungry so chose to take a longer traditional lunch. Overall everyone at Experience Gjirokaster were super helpful even helping us find a bus the next day to Saranda and booking us other tours. Definitely recommend!

We did a day trip to visit the Benjë thermal baths where we had a great morning exploring around the baths and in the canyon. Our guide even helped us find a more hidden bath which was completely empty. We then went into Permet for a fantastic lunch at Trifilia. The tour was very flexible and accommodating and the scenery was breathtaking. Highly recommend!

This experience feels more like a cooking demonstration than a hands on cooking class. It would be better if each person or group of 2 had their own cooking station rather than one cooking station for everyone.

We had to pay the entree fee on 3 different occasions, saw very little of the city. The guide was very knowledgable though.
