We stayed in the jungle for a week visit to Manu Biosphere Reserve (Manu itself was absolutely fantastic !!!). We had an expert and experienced guide Manuel, with whom we did the whole tour. The bungalow rooms were furnished and clean with a small solar lamp and additional candles for extra light. The bathroom facilities were relatively modern with hot... More

This was an amazing trip (7days 6 nights). Into the Manu National Park Reserved Zone We (3 friends) had a perfect vacation. We booked with Local Trekkers Peru, company based in Cusco 100% legal and reliable. At the beginning, we had our doubts as anyone, but once we contact Thiago the Manager by the chat on the website all our... More

A short intro: Manu is divided in 3 zones; the cultural zone, which is easiest to reach and has some simple communities. Most trips here are 4 days. Then there is the reserved zone, which is further into the jungle. Only a couple of tour companies have a license to operate tours there. Typical tours last 7 or 8 days.... More

We recently visited Peru and spent 7 memorable nights at Manu National Park, I have to say that this is one of my top choices, particularly during the month of August when is the dry season and animals visited the river in great numbers. Animal viewing is Fantastic in Manu National Park. It is easy to spot garden variety of... More

My friend and I did a 3-day tour of the Amazon cloud forest with Vilca Expeditions and it was incredible! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Our tour guide, Darwin, was so much fun and extremely knowledgeable. We had our own cook, named Betty, and the food was so delicious! I didn't understand how she was able to make... More

We visited Manu National Park in 2015, and our tour company was Wild Watch Peru with Hebert as our guide. We are very glad that we visited this National Park. It is a birder's paradise, and there are several other amazing animal species to see there, including giant river otters and occasional jaguar. For those interested in visiting Manu, it... More

Nice jungle trip with packed program ranging from amazing environments (highlands, cloud forest, rain forest) via wildlife (birds, capibaras, spiders, frogs etc.) to basic jungle experience (bamboo water, machete skills, exotic fruits etc.). We had a very nice cook with us and I am still highly grateful for the tasty vegetarian meals. We were a bit unlucky with seeing bigger... More

I am a keen birder and ended up on a 6 day manu tour. It is expensive as the only means of transport is witha boat. The logistics are difficult if you want to do this independently.I opted to go into the main reserve rather than the buffer zone and this was an excellent decision ,although I would have gladly... My friend and I did a 4d/3n tour with Manu Adventures. The sales team in the office were great and very informative and helped us with other travel arrangements in Cusco. The actual National Park is beautiful and tourism still seems to be relatively new to the area. We'd have loved to go further into the reserved zone, but didn't... More

We booked a 4 day 3 night Manu tour with Orellana Expeditions for $250 per person. Now to be clear there was no problem with the tour company. Quite the opposite in fact. If you are set on going to the park I would fully recommend this outfit. The guide was excellent, the accommodation was very good and the cook... More
