Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unless you are a total lover of historical art please don’t go. I’m not sure if the art lovers will also like it. Very small and basic museum with nothing exceptional. They charge extra for photography which is not worth it. Please don’t pay extra for photography. It took us max 20 min to go through the entire museum. The staff is very unfriendly and disinterested. Inspite of us paying for photography they spoke rudely and said we are not allowed to click . We showed them the ticket. It was a sheer waste of time and money

Painstaking collection and well documented history of over 7000 years with photographs manuscripts,
Artifacts. The tree all the way down to the current descendent is fascinating.
A short visit is a must do in DHARAMSHALA. This is very close tk the fort.

I understand it has only been open 6 months. Worth a visit to see the ancient artefacts. Miniature paintings, Scuptures and pottery. It was very quiet so hopefully more will visit. For non Indians it is 100r to take photos

Stunning location with views to die for. The minatures of the Kangra style are superb yet poorly lit. Labelling of other artifacts is limited.Given the rich cultural heritage this is a disappointing, aging facility.I commend the custodians for taking grumpy sloth- like behaviour to new levels,

We went there as a part of mcleodganj taxi union package. The museum is a waste of time even if it was free. On top they have the audacity to charge 40 bucks per person and 100 bucks for photos. A definite AVOID.

Not high on the local tourist diary, we decided to visit it nevertheless and it was a wonderful thing we did. Archeological treasures from 7th - 8th century and beautiful paintings welcomed us. Unfortunately, we couldn't get books or couldn't buy paintings, but we need to advertise this place and encourage the artists who have painted the Kangra style paintings

A nice but rather small museum with some nice art and sculptures. Not huge and won't take long to explore. Not much else in this part of Dharamshala to see.

Its a must visit place for an art lover.
And worthless for those who don't have any interest in art & don't want to know about valuable culture.
