Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I attended 3 months Tibetan basis course in last quarter of 2019. Teachers are very kind and patient.
I was the only Singaporean among the multi nationalities from Russia, Korea, Japan, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, Italy, Brazil.. a mini UN. :) It was really fun. I look forward to my class every morning. If you plan to stay longer in Dharamsala, suggest you attend Tibetan class at this library. Enjoy ! Oops, don't miss the museum on level two.

If you are visiting Dharamshala and interested in Buddhism, I would highly recommend taking/joining the classes on Buddhist philosophy at the Library!

A visit to the Linrary of Tibetan Works and Archives is a wonderful way to learn about Tibetan Buddhism, enjoy seeing the masterpieces of Tibetan painters and statue-makers, admire the scriptures that were saved from China's descent into insanity and experience how the exile community reconstituted its institutions to preserve their culture and way of life - and the teaching materials and wisdom inherited from the great Indian Buddhist monasteries of the past. There is a nice cafe - Nechung - and a canteen, and the nearby monastery of the State Oracle, Nechung, is well worth a visit too.

We visited this venue with a guide who was able to provide more information about the books. There are nice postcards and books on sale at very god prices. The museum upstairs is beautiful and worth a visit.

The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives ( LTWA) is beautiful library which facilitates study and research about Tibet. There are classes on Tibetan language as well conducted by LTWA. The library is doing amazing work in the field of conservation and preservation of Tibetan manuscripts and paintings. There is an in house museum dedicated to Tibetan culture. Latest technologies are employed in the Library and the museum. There is even a publication section in the library from where you can purchase their publications. Worth visiting for art and culture enthusiasts!

The Library of Tibetan works and Archives is a beautiful building complex, nestled amonst the Tibetan Government in Exile buildings in the area called Gankyi, halfway between lower Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj.
There you can study Tibetan language, Buddhist Philosophy or Hindi language with incredible teachers for very low prices.
The main building also houses an extensive library and a shop which sells books published by the Library. They've newly built a beautiful museum in the main building which is definitely worth a visit.
