Wonderful peice of History. Well preserved and really historic. Taking guide was really good decision. Though it was very hot in may , we still enjoyed. It was even better in eve with the light and sounds show.

Fantastic palace to visit, the history tell that this palace was only used one night and then abandoned. Large monument where you can climb to the top and roam around at leisure. We took the train to Jhansi station and a driver to the palace. It worth the driving.

Orchha fort is as old as about 400 years. A well maintained fort popular among tourist. This is under archaeology survey of India. Interesting palace to visit while travelling from Jhansi to Khajuraho. It took 22 years to build this palace and has only been used for one day. When we were here there were not a lot of visitors, so this is a quiet place . Well preserved and worth the visit.

24 July, 2016. The Orchha fort is a generic name given to a group of buildings around the Betwa river in the small town of Orchha in the state of Madhya Pradesh. We paid a visit there, staying at the close-by Betwa Retreat. The impressive complex has thankfully not been affected much by the ravages of time, possibly thanks to... More
