As a part of journey of Pushkar, the most relevant to visit Devi Savitri temple after visit of Lord Brahma and Devi Gayatri temple. As Lord Brahma and Devi Savitri found together but in Pushkar they found in separate temples as a story behind the incident took place in history...
To reach the temple either you use ropeway or stairs. At the top of the hill Devi Savitri, reaching pray take photos of good surroundings and come back.

The Savitri temple in Pushkar is located on the Ratnagiri hill which is a popular pilgrimage site for the Hindus. Beautiful panoramic view of pushkar, sunrise and sunset. Very spiritual place. Rope way also available from morning 8am to 6pm for 150 rs/person. Rope car will be stopped in between so that one can watch the mesmerizing and breathtaking view.
One can visit this temple by stairs. But be careful as the stairs are very steep.
Don't forget to have Khullad wali chai after the temple visit. I just loved the chai here.

The temple is situated on top of hill and provides 360 degree view from above. One can go walking using stairs which indeed is a bit of walk or can take ropeway to visit and come back. Rope way cost is very nominal. 126 rupees to and fro for one person. Must visit for sure. The view from above is mesmerizing. Very good for photographers.
Feeling blessed to be there.

Situated on the top of a hillock in Pushkar, this temple dedicated to Savitri Devi, wife of Lord Brahma is a must-visit when in Pushkar. Those who are looking for an adventure can climb around 1000-odd steps to the top. For all others, there is a cable car. The cost was Rs. 180 per person for a return trip and Rs. 110 per person for one-way trip. Enjoying the lush green surroundings of Pushkar (green since we went during monsoon) from the cable car is an experience in itself. The temple is quite simple, but the views from the top are amazing, you can see entire Pushkar from there. There's also a basic canteen and one can fill their tummies or generally relax there. The place is full of "Langurs", but they generally do not disturb you unless you do not disturb them.

The grace of Mother Goddess Saraswathi, the goddess of learning is a must for everyone. There are some temples dedicated to her. One such temple is at Pushkar, Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Here she is called as Savithri (some spell it as Savitri). She has many other names too like Vani, Vagdevi, Kalai, Kalaivani, and Vidhya and so on.
The temple of Goddess Savithri is situated on the top of Ratnagiri Hill, behind the Brahma temple, on its western side in Pushkar. She is the consort of Lord Brahma. There is an idol of Goddess Savithri in this temple. Normally the Hindu gods are bigamists. So also Lord Brahma who has two consorts namely Savithri and Gayatri. There is a separate shrine for goddess Gayatri at Pushkar but at opposite end of the lake. Goddess Savithri, being annoyed and enraged, cursed Brahma and seated on the highest hill in Pushkar. Whereas goddess Gayatri, being afraid of people coming in search of her is seated at the low level hill on the other end, that is at the eastern side of the Pushkar lake. This is the position Lord Bramha and His two (beloved) consorts as we see in Pushkar. But we can’t help the situation because it was their fate as determined by the Vidhi or Karma.
We have to do bit of exercise to reach the temple on the hill top as it is necessary to climb the steps. Her temple is built of marble. It is better to mount the hill in the morning so that we can have beautiful scenery of the Pushkar Lake. Goddess Gayatri temple (locally called as Pap Mochani Mandir) is easy to get in to by 30 minute walk on the steps. It is behind Marwar bus stand at Pushkar town.
My narration might have created curiosity to know how Bramha, being the creator himself could get entangled in such a wrangle? For that you must know a legendary coupled with puranic story about it.
Lord Bramha desired to perform a yagna for the good of the universe. It had to be commenced at a specified auspicious time. Here time was the essential condition precedent for commencement of the yagna. That yagna had to be performed by the couple namely Lord Bramha and Goddess Savithri, his only consort than. If the time had lapsed the result could be disastrous. He directed her to get ready and be present within the time at the venue. Being a lady required to attend a function where all the gods and goddesses would be present she wanted to do some make up. There were no beauty parlours. It was a self preparation and little bit time consuming. Though she was a very simple and opposed to artificial make up, yet she was like any other woman. By the time she finished and left home towards the venue of yagna, it was too late.
In the meanwhile at the venue the priest, Devaguru namely Brihaspathi was annoyed that the couple were not ready to start the function though the time was fast approaching. Then the other gods thought of getting a lady for the time being and finish the yagna. Then Brihaspathi told them that such a woman must be virgin (kanya means unmarried girl) and must be afresh by taking bath. As the time was fast approaching there was mounting tension and pressure on all gods assembled there. The gods were looking for a virgin girl. At that time a girl in teens was seen carrying a bundle of green grass and holding the rope tied to a cow was going along. She was supposed to belong to Gurjar community. Immediately the gods caught hold of her and miraculously put her in the mouth of the cow and dragged out through the vulva of the cow. The cow was a sacred animal. Passing through the womb of a cow would be more sacred than bathing in holy Ganga and consequently it was a conversion of a non-Brahmin girl into a Brahmin girl so that she could be married to Brahma. She was named as Gayathri and was married with Bramha in great hurry to start the yagna before the expiry of the auspicious time. Then she became eligible to participate in the yagna along with Lord Bramha. So yagna commenced without any hindrance thereafter.
When the ritual was almost came to an end, then Savithri along with her friend Lakshmi, Parvathi, Indrani and others gave entry on the scene. Savithri came there with all desire to take part in the rituals as it was the rarest opportunity for her to do so. But when she saw that someone else was already sitting beside her husband and completing the yagna she could not suppress her bitter feelings and burst into anger and cursed Bramha and other gods and went away to settle down at Ratnagiri hill and became a part of it by emerging as a spring in her name as ‘Savithri Jharna’ (stream). She was not amenable for any consolation by other Gods. It was shocking situation for Gayathri. Now Gayathri was in a panic condition. She was perturbed and felt insecure amidst the gods. She demanded Bramha to give her certain statue equal to Savithri.
Bramha granted a boon to her to be head of Vedas with five divine characters. So she became Gayathri and had five faces of different colours indication her divine powers and as a presiding deity over the four Vedas, namely the sacred Sanskrit scripts of Hindus. Having empowered Gayatri, diluted Savithri's curse and blessed Pushkar to be the king of pilgrimages. She declared that Indra would always retain his heaven. She also relieved other gods from the effect of curse using her extra ordinary power. Gayathri being scared of Savithri preferred to stay away from Savithri but near Bramha at Pushkar at the present place.
This much is the history of the place (sthala purana).
Coming to Savithri temple Her idol is very very pleasing. I felt as if Mother goddess Saraswathi is sitting alive like a living Goddess. The temple is also beautiful and attractive. People of all walks of life must visit this shrine to get the grace of the Mother Goddess of learning.
The Pushkar is well connected with Ajmer on road, which is about 11 km from here. There are number of buses to reach Pushkar town. There is a rail way station here that brings trains from the nearest large railway station at Ajmer. Ajmer is a railway junction connected to almost all cities in India. The nearest airport is in Jaipur at distance of 146 km from there one has to take a train, bus or private vehicle to come to Pushkar.

I viewed all the wonderful reviews about this place & couldnt believe how overated it was.
Went up on the cable car which was quite scary as we stopped for a considerable amount of time, decided to walk down after this experience.
The place was disgusting full of rubbish. The view was ok but was ruined by the aggressive people trying to sell you things.
I would NOT recommend a visit, very disappointing..

This is by far the best view from above in Pushkar. I would highly recommend the sunrise trek and watch the colours transform infront of your eyes. It's quite a walk and some of the steps are huge but it's worth it.
IT's also nice for sunset and by that time you can catch the ropeway up to the top. Price is 104 rupees return (you cannot get a single ticket)

This was actually the best thing I did in Pushkar, heading up the hill for sunrise.
The temple itself can be seen from any rooftop restaurant in Pushkar, and immediately as I seem it I knew I'd have to explore.
Myself and a friend set off from the hotel one hour before sunrise. The walk was pleasant in the cool morning and well lit.
The view and pictures were incredible and we stayed there for at least an hour. Be sure to head into the temple itself for the best views. The little cafe also provides great Chai to start your day off.
Highly recommend getting out of bed early for this gem!

If I recall correctly timing is 8am to 6pm. Temple is closed for an hour at 1pm but they don't stop the ropeway which creates an unnecessary crowd at the top. It is a very small temple with beautiful views but it is rather poorly maintained. When I went there a few months ago there was some maintenance work going on. Hopefully it will make things better. If you intend to visit it I recommend you either do it before 12:30pm or after 3:00 pm

Yes, there was ramp available to the bottom of the rope way station. But once you reach the top, the temple premises is not disabled/aged friendly. Though they are working on it as some construction work was going on. I do not know if wheel chair was available at the office or not.
