A long and pleasant walk along the gorge through breathtaking scenery, past waterfalls, fountains, deserted chapels and monasteries, to an authentic palm beach at Preveli. You can even catch a glimpse of a lammergeier if you are lucky. Watch out though for slips and trips - stout shoes essential.

You must walk the river all the way down through the canyon as it is breathtaking and very adventurous. Just be aware that people live in the canyon on the river and be respectful of their space.

The perfect prelude to a visit to Preveli Beach. Lots of steps (nothing compared to what awaits at Preveli Beach though!). Bring a towel, as once at the bottom, you'll be able to have a dip in the pristine ice-cold waters flowing through the gorge....More

The walk down is nice but very easy. Takes around 10 mins one way. The gorge itself is not very accessible by a well indicated path.

We drove through the gorge on our way to Preveli Beach and were not disappointed! Spectacular views! Spectacular scenery! Spectacular wind! The wind howls through the gorge so if you stop and get out of your car, watch the doors!!! Definitely worth a trip!!!

No words can describe it - you have to be there (on the way to Preveli Palm Beach)! Nature is powerful.
