The castle visit was a part of an excursion to Mycenae. We were very impressed with fantastic views of the surrounding lands. Very rough cobblestones make up the walkways of the interior area. We did not take the opportunity to walk back to the Town of Naufplio. Did have a few benches at the entrance for anyone preferring to sit... More

This was so cool. If you can handle 999 steps, you should walk up instead of taking a taxi. My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun exploring the remains of the fortress once we made it to the top. The views were pretty impressive too.

The castle itself an interesting attraction on its own with magnificent view of Argolida and gulf. But my favourite part is taking stairs up. Different mesmerising view every 2 minutes, good exercise and fun time with friends. Not sure how many times i walked up but not planing to stop anytime soon.

Totally recommended for everyone. You need some soft shoes to walk through some stony paths. The view is breathtaking. A must see.

Great sight and fantastic view. The sign could be a little more organized. Totally recommended for anyone.

It is nice to visit the castle, or rather the remainings, because of the impresive views. But there is nothing in terms of exhibitions or something that makes the visit more interesting to learn about the history of this place. Paths along are not terribly easy. Certainly not adequate for anyone with mobility issues.

ths is a historic landmark of Nafplion , whre one of the heroes of the Greek Revolution was imprisoned. Excellent and imposing view during the climb of the 999 steps up. On your way down you can use a car. Try to come on a first Sunday of the month where the entrance to the site is free.

Visited today afternoon when the temperature was around 5 to 6 degree, went there by taxi as was raining, cold and windy. The taxi had a halt option for 30 minutes but it was less for us to see around the place, needed at least twice the time. Full panoramic view of the city and a serene, calm and peaceful... More

I went to the castle on a cold, windy day. The castle itself is interesting and has commentary on signs in English. The views from the castle are excellent. I would have lingered longer., but the wind and cold made for a brief visit. It was worth a visit for the castle and views.
