Charming town

There you can spend a nice and quiet day. The best way is to walk around the city along the promenade down to the pebble beach under the castle.

Since it is in the middle of sea, you need to take a ferry to reach there. We didn't go inside this due to renovation work going on. But the view from outside is great.

We weren't sure what we would do in Nafplio so we walked around the promenade and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views are wonderful and there is also a small beach we my wife enjoyed a swim. It was very laid back and enjoyable during a hectic tour.

After researching the port of Nafplio, we decided on a “do-it-yourself” tour. Another couple from the ship were doing the same so we headed out together to walk the Arvanitia Promenade. It seemed we took the longest, most circuitous route possible but we were rewarded with fantastic scenery. The promenade runs along the coast of the Aroglic Gulf. It starts... More

All the place is spoiled by senseless Graffiti all over the old town and this is not always done by children , such a shame for such a high profile and once nice town .

The Nafplion Promenade is an area that has several Excellent Photo Opportunities with a Castle on a Hill overlooking the Town to the Bourzi that is in the Bay that can be visited by Ferry in 5 Minutes. The Sea is a Beautiful Colour and very clean and one can sit in one of the several cafes and dream away... More

The Nafplio Promenade is a wonderful place to stroll or sit at a table and watch everyone watching the world go by. Very relaxing and it is just a short walk from the Promenade into Nafplio's attractive centre with its squares and narrow flower bedecked streets.

Nafplio is a town in set to fantastic surroundings of the Nafplio bay. The view, unfortunately, is obstructed by car park at 70 % of the promenade. What a pity! Take seat in a cafe at the end of promenade. The view is much better there.

Nice walk between sea and town with the views of all key sights. Unfortunately the main car parking is spoiling quite a bit, but continue further and you het car-free again along the sea.

There are plenty of lovely cafes all along the promenade where you can spend time just sitting watching the passers by or stare across the bay to the mountains. It's lovely to go for a stroll by the water and then come back and sit with something long and cool. Lovely way to while away a morning. Very relaxing 😊
