The view is lovely

It's a nice place to stop to take in the amazing view of Inishowen. Go down for a stroll along the beach. Even on a miserable day, the view is amazing

Fahan is one of the most likely places I take my dog for a walk. It is a beautiful, peaceful walk with some beautiful sights

There are many hidden treasures around here which cannot be found without local guidance, and the locals don't know how good in what they have. My only clues... More

For me being from Buncrana this is an iconic spot. Having lived abroad for years I used to always say that "you know you're home when you come round the Fahan Lookout". In fact it is nothing more than a end in the road but the view over the Swilly out to the Atlantic is awesome. It is worth a... More

Fahan [pronounced fawn] is a small village in Inishowen, Donegal, about 5 kilometers south of Buncrana, and you will find the "Lookout" on the main road, heading north towards Buncrana. It looks out on to Lough Swilly, and on a clear day, it is a beautiful sight. You can't park at the spot, but if you go about 100 meters... More
