Family outing to Ballyhoura today with 2 teenagers and 11 yr old. Wasn't sure what to expect as it was last minute decision to travel. Easy to find just outside Ardpatrick. We had four mountain bikes and rented one! Vy nice lads operating bike rental shop, good for advice....had the option of a 6 km or 17 km. considering we... More

Excellent trails. Safe parking (€5). Showers & shop. Could do with a little cafe! Really sound lad running things while we were there. Did the White Trail on Saturday and it was really enjoyable. 35K with a little bit of everything...nothing really technical. Did the Brown Trail on Sunday and it was equally good. 18K. Red & Blue closed unfortunately...long... More

Wonderful way to spend the day! Great equipment, beautiful scenery, and the staff go above and beyond! Trails so nice, fun and easy to navigate, but very challenging as well.

If you are familiar or not with mountain biking and want to place to go, this is it! The trails are all looped rides and well maintained and marked, don't have a bike? You can hire one, from hard tail right up to a full suspension bike. These are incredible trails taking right up into the Ballyhoura mountain range with... More

We rode the green trail which is for beginners and only 6 kilometers but be aware, this bad boy will Still kick your butt. Lol. The first half is... More

Went here with some friends. The trails are great and the skills loops well worth doing. I though a bit much fire road but the single track was very well thought out and flowed perfectly Will definitely be back

Ballyhoura is an area for mountain biking, with a variety of trails of varying lengths and skills. All trails start at the same place and finish at the same place, with the longer trails spurring off the other shorter ones. You should basically choose which length to do before setting out, as you would unlikely want to return to the... More

My son and I went on the 6k trail. We brought our own bikes but they were also available to hire for €35 I think. Great facilities here. You pay €5 on the way in so have change ready and everything after that is free. There are picnic areas so bring one with you to help you recover afterwards. This... More
