Family owned and run pub, just on the other side of the bridge in Thurles, very olde worlde, whilst I have not been to the Trad sessions on a wednesday I have heard that they are very good with lots of local talent.
Wedneday is the busy evening. Other nights are usually quiet unless there's a quiz. A big open pub where Guinness is still the favourite drink. Baskets of black pudding and onion rings served gratis some nights.
There's a Irish Trad Session here every Wednesday night. It starts at 22.00 and has been hook on for the past 30 years. Most nights there are between 12 to 20 musicians. A great night, in a lovely pub!
This is a great restaurant! The meals are so delicious, like you just cooked it yourself and they are proper portions because some restaurants give tiny portions and your still hungry after you meal. This restaurant has a brilliant menu. Where everybody can find something!...More
