Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hiked the Soča River Trail from its source all the way to Tolmin. We had dozens of “WOW moments” every day. We found spectacular scenery, breathtaking bridges and wonderful waterfalls along the way.
We stayed in Na Logu v Trenti in Trenta; Camp Korita near Soča; Tatjana apartments in Bovec; Fedrig s Prenočišči in Kobarid and at the Hotel Dvorec in Tolmin. I can recommend them all.
We hiked the route in 7 days, although it can easily be done in 4 or 5 days.
Advice: Take your time and visit attractions off the “official” trail.

After being in Bled we came across the famous 50 curves to see the Soča river spring. You have to stop at curve 49th, and there you have a not easy 15 min path to reach where the river is formed. It is beautiful. After that, we followed the road and 5km after Soča village on the left sight you can see and indication to go to velika korita, where you can take a bath in the crystal clear water and enjoy a 5 to 10m jumps from the rock cliffs too.

You can reach the source of Soča after "15 minutes walking", but be careful, because this walking is not easy. In fact, Soča has its source in a cave, hidden behind rocks. It is located in the Triglav National Park, that is beautiful with its mountainous panorama. The walking to the source of Soča is quite difficult, especially for people who are not used to it. A piece of advice: take good walking shoes. You will see the river, you will go up the hill and when you reach a waterfall (really beautiful, but also hidden behind rocks), you start climbing. First, it is not too difficult, but as you progress, it becomes harder and harder. There are some ropes you can stick to, but they are not constructed for smaller people, so if you are less than 1m60, the next day you will have a real pain in your arms. However, it is worth visiting - the cave is full of water, but you can see through it, because of its clean blue colour. Apparently, it is 150m deep, but only 32m have been seen - the area deeper is too small to be explored by people. But you get an immediate impression of virgin nature while standing on the ground and watching the colour of water.

This river is beautiful, and runs from the Julian Alps all the way to the sea. We visited it as part of a driving day, where we could choose our spots to pull over and take a closer look at the lovely blue-green river. We drove down from the Vrsic Pass and along the river all the way to Tolmin. In our case we stopped for photos and a few short walks, but there are plenty of other recreation opportunities, including longer hikes and rafting. This is definitely a beautiful part of the world and worth spending some time in!

The water is very beautiful and it’s definitely worth a visit. I wouldn’t recommend swimming here since the water is so cold you can only stay there for a couple of seconds.

One of the most amazing rivers of Slovenia, if you visit Slovenia and not get a glimpse of Soca its a sin, Some of the best places to get a good view of the turquoise blue water are form the town Most-na-soci, Tolmin Gorges, Nepolian Bridge and few other places in the Triglav National Park. Best way to explore Soca and the Triglav Vally, is to take Drive through this amazing Alp and tiny villages. The Julian Alps also offer a great Views of Soca.
if you have a very short time and you want to get a taste of everything, Search for Slovenia National Treasure Day tour. This covers Nice places in a Day.
Kayaking through this beautiful river is a whole different experience. Boka Waterfall is and another amazing feast to the eye, Hike to the middle of the mountain to get to view the source of RIver Soca the pristine blue water inside a small cave. Slovenia is also known for its large network of vertical caves in the mountains.

If you visit Slovenia then Soca River is one of a must see attractions. In Tolmin, You can visit tolminska korita and Sotocje. From Kobarid you can walk to Kozjak Waterfall. You can rent a car and Drive all the way starting from Solkan up to Kanal, Most na Soci, Tolmin, Kobarid and then up to Bovec and Trenta. There are many stops along the way where you can stop a car and take photos of this amazing River. It can be seen directly from a road

We loved looking at this lovely river. You can't imagine the colors of the water. I regret that we didn't go rafting in it. We did swim but for a very short time, because it is really too cold-maybe around 12 Celsius?

The Soca trail is really fun. It crosses the river in many places. The trail itself is narrow in some places, wider in some, well marked and maintained.

If you want to get away from the tourists, come here. Absolutely beautiful. Not only is the river outstanding, the drive and little villages make this a great day trip (or overnight). We stopped off at a couple of places for the best Goulash we have eaten. Bovec is a stunning little town and great for a bite to eat
