To the park itself: incredibly so. This calm, these colors, this river - crystal clear! Beautifully simple. Also there was an elderly couple who sold souvenirs - incredibly nice and also in terms of price, absolutely fine. There was a gentleman taking pictures with a Polaroid camera. The poor man had an injured leg and still stood there for 12-14 hours to take photos of one for just 4 marks.
About what I didn't like: Vrelo Bosne is pure nature! First, how can one brazenly demand admission for nature? Incredibly annoying. But then not even an identical admission. My husband and I had and spontaneously decided to go there. No ID or similar taken for walk. Let’s get there and it’s considered whether you come from INLAND or ABROAD. Nationals pay 3 marks and visitors from abroad 6 marks. Although my husband and I are from Bosnia and also spoke Bosnian - no proof that we are Bosnian citizens, 6 marks. It's just a cheek I think. You shouldn't pay anything for nature. And then double standards for the whole thing.
If you are already asking for admission, then you should also make sure that the park is kept in order. The river was so low that you could have gone in with rubber boots and picked up the dirt there. If the money isn't used for that, what is it?

Walked here from our hotel, along a lovely path. This is at the origins of River Bosna, just beside me the mountains. The area was quiet due to the off season, all the better for us to have it to ourselves.
The place is clean and nice to walk around, it has a shop and childrens play area.

We visited this park twice and if we had more time in Sarajevo we would have visited one more time. It is said that the river going thru Sarajevo starts from this park but not sure about this info. Best place to relax and have a piece of mind away from the busy town and noise of the city. The children had a great time there playing, feeding the ducks and running between the trees. The sound of the running water from river made the place a fantastic spot for those appreciating nature and quietness. As many families go there with there children it’s recommended to find your spot that will help you recharge. There is a nice cafe and play area inside the park. Entering the park requires paying the tickets which is 2 marks per person (children under 7 goes for free). Highly recommended for everyone.

We paid 2KM for 1 hour of parking and 2KM/person for entry (so 6KM in total). If you just walk around, you can easily do the tour in 1 hour. Of course you can sit and drink something, read or generally enjoy the environment for several hours if you want to...

A very nice green place with fresh air and water, you might have two options to reach there, either you ride the horse carriage which i highly recommend or you might have a walk! Hit helpful if it was useful for you

Interesting park for nature lovers. Although some birds raised in the park, it would be nice to have more. Horse carriages are nice but path is a bit narrow and not clear once sitting on the carriage.

If you want to get away from the hustle 'n' bustle of the city and have some extra time in Sarajevo, this is a nice place to visit in good weather. It is a bit further out of the centre. The easiest way to get there if you don't fancy taking a taxi, is to take the tram number 3 (heading to Ilidža) from Baščaršija (opposite the Sebilj fountain). Get off at the last stop and walk straight on until you get to the corner of the street. Turn left, cross the road and continue walking in this direction until you cross a bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn left and keep walking until you see a park on the right. Cross over into the park and head right towards the fountain, take the path that goes left (passing some stalls with vendors selling souvenirs, food and drinks) but then curves to the right. You'll find a line of horse and carriage await. You can opt for these as your transportation (15KM/7.50EUR) to Vrelo Bosne or you can continue on foot down the long pathway. The entrance fee is 2KM (1EUR). The place can be a bit touristy at times but it can be a worthwhile visit.

You can from the other entrance where you can get the horse wagon ride. I have no idea about the price but like everything else in Bosnia it should be affordable.

Hi, There isn't a bus, but there is a tram which is the same thing, It is the number three tram and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the last stop which is the Llidza stop. The tickets cost 3.4 KM per person one way. From there it is about a ten minute walk over a little bridge over a river to the 3 kilometre path to the park. If you don't want to walk the 3 kms you can take a horse and carriage for 8 Euro one way per buggy, not per person. Some of the horse and carriage drivers are a little dishonest so check the price with them before, it should be written on the side of the buggy . When you get to Llidza you may have to ask the general direction to get to the park. The park entrance fee which is at the end of the 3km path is 2 KM per person. Enjoy it

How easy is it to get from Vrelo Bosne to the Ilidza tram stop? Does the Alley start nearby the tram stop?
Thanks!
Written 2 June 2015
Hi,
Firstly nice that you want to visit this beautifull part of the town. Vrelo Bosne is like a small natural resort or a park, so there is no tram station near it. If you are on the Vrelo Bosne and you want to go to Ilidza, you can either walk (there is a lovely alley with chestnut trees on both sides of the alley, and it is 3 km long), or you can rent a horse carriage from Vrelo Bosne to Ilidza, also down that alley (I belive it is arround 5 EUR, but I did not take it for a while, so I don't know exact price). Horse carriages can be rented on both sides of the alley. And the third option is to take a taxi, but it will not go through the alley (it is a pedestrian zone), but it will go around it. I hope I helped.
