Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely walk down from the main road along quiet lanes and bush tracks. On arriving in the village it is mainly 20th century houses but the small bay has many small boats.
Lovely walk to Banyalbufar along a coast path

Amazing place, pebbled beach 🏖 with perfectly clear water and pleasant sea temperature.
Would recommend people who likes not crowded places.

In one of my guide books I found this roughly 9km hike, which starts from a small parking lot above Banyalbufur. It was supposed to be the smugglers path in the old times. Sounds exciting, right? The truth is, it is a normal broad path, which is unfortunately full of garbage to the left and right. The parking lot is very crowded and there are many people, who do this moderately difficult hike.
I recommend doing the hike till the road to Port de Canonge starts. The last part is not as pretty as the first. The 2 bays have pebbles and are not that inviting to swim or relax. Port des Canonge is a tiny village. we arrived around 18pm and 1 restaurant was open. The owner told us straight away that the kitchen is closed and they would anyway close very soon. Not very friendly.
The way back is the same route and because of that a bit boring. Would I do this hike again? No, not really.
