Get there early, you can only buy tickets on the day at the station. They do not accept credit cards to make sure you take cash. We went in February and the train was full. The train leaves at 10.30 and there were queues when...More

Great experience in general from Palma to Sóller, and back. Not very frequent in winter, so better plan well. We took the 10:30 train to Sóller, and then 4:30 back to Palma. Another half an hour to the port of Sóller one way by tram....More

It was February so not as busy as the summer months. In fact it was very chilly, so my tip is to aim for the rear seats of the carriage. These are a little narrower than the others so aren't as popular. The secret is...More

We went for a day to Port Soller. On we back we got a lovely wooden Tram to Soller. It was like travelling back in time. I would recommend this journey.

We discovered the 'Tramuntana' scenery and landscapes in the historic, old fashioned train to Soller. Such a pleasure for the senses! Coming near the towns rows of lemon and orange trees go by at the reach of the hand. I will be recommending it to...More

We went off season, so the train & tram were quiet, which suited us (I think this would be hell on wheels in the busy season!) It’s fun & atmospheric on the historic train & tram. Not massive comfortable, but it’s only an hour of...More

It was a great experience. Lovely vintage train passing through the mountain pass of Serra de Tramuntana on a blue sky day offering breathtaking views. It's all well organised, there are limited tickets available so it doesn't get too crowded. The carriages has viewing platforms...More

We did the train ride after doing the Palma 10k and half marathon. What a perfect way to relax. We booked the train and tram ride. It was a lovely journey once you get out of the built up area. The trains are in lovely...More

To be fair I was unfortunate enough to travel on an extremely rainy day. But still I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Even for train enthusiasts - it's a tram really. Much of the journey is through tunnels. Oooh n another thing......suggest you take a cushion....More

Depends where to go. We went from Palma to Soller by train (old 1912) and then took the Tram to Port Soller - it was about 40 Euros each for the round trip.
