We took a pleasant walk to the station from the beach. It was pretty busy to the point on the way back I gave up my seat for a senior lady which actually allowed me to stand at the back of the last carriage all...More

Travelled on this lovely old fashioned electric train from Palma to Soller on the west coast of Mallorca. Saw some beautiful countryside and quaint villages. Got off the train and boarded a tram which took us to the Port of Soller, lovely picturesque port on...More

Train is beautiful and is very nice and maintained inside. It's worth to make the trip to Soller from Palma. Country is beautiful and you travel close to lemon trees and sometimes the montains. However, the travel is very long, more than one hour, whilst...More

I had wanted to take this train journey for so many years - my parents did the trip in the 70s and I have fond memories of their cine camera films. Perhaps my expectations were higher than usual. The day started badly and we arrived...More

I loved the 1-hour train ride! The views were beautiful, and the historical train made the trip feel like we were traveling in time. On the way we stopped once just to take pictures, and I took some great pics from the viewpoint! One way...More

The train was pleasant enough, with a lovely stop to enjoy the views of Soller. However, there are a lot of tunnels and places where the banking prevents views. It is also quite expensive, and restricted returns may mean that you have to spend up...More

Yes it does get busy but is well worth the effort. I agree with most of the comments from the British reviewers. If you are boarding in Palma get as near to the front of the queue on the platform as possible but while the...More

We arrived and the queue was very, very long to buy tickets. It took us over an hour. You had to prebook the return and some options had sold out already. I suggest you get there early. There is a toilet in the station and...More

A must when on Mallorca! Take the train from Palma to enjoy the ride up the mountains, through the tunnel and enjoy the view from one of the outside platforms of the coaches. Once you have arrived in Soller don't jump onto the tram straight...More

Hello - We are coming to Majorca in a few weeks time and would love to do this train/tram trip. However my husband has some walking difficulties and needs to use a 4 wheeled foldable walking aid. Would he be able to take this on the train and tram, that is, lift it on and leave it folded while on the ride? He can walk but not very far without his walker. Thanks for any advice.

I think it should be fine too. You can also send a e-mail to the website of train de soller (trendesollercom), they will definitively confirm. Enjoy your trip there

Hi, was your return journey (by bus) back to Palma? What number bus did you use? And how much does a single/one way trip on the train cost (I presume this is the pretty, old wooden train that goes through the citrus groves)? Where do you buy the train tickets? Thank you
