The room is not small but it is also not impressively big. It would be a lot better if the gold was still in there.

There is not much to see at this site, only an empty stone room, but the ticket allows you to see a bunch more sites, which have much more to offer. Still, having read about and studied this event in university, it was good to...More

Hardly anything to the. In theory where Atahualpa was held prisoner by Pizarro and where he offered to fill room with gold for freedom. Virtually nothing to see here but the room, however ticket gets you into 3/4 other places worth seeing and walkable.

There is a lot of history in "Caxamalca", and the execution of Atahualpa is part of it, but there's nothing really inside the structure to tell you much for the $5 Soles entry fee. However, you can imagine, and if you've been to the Plaza...More

The church is the first place on the Combination Ticket. You get entry to Belen, The Women's Hospital, The Ransom Room, The Ethnic Museum and the Archaeological Museum. To pay separately would have been disappointing but for s/5 to all the attractions it wasn't so...More

We entered the Place of Cuarto del Rescate and were welcomed by a lady that actually was a professional guide. This turned out well, as we wanted to take a guide to show us around Cajamarca's city center. I absolutely recommend to take a guide,...More
