    We ❤️ Mead’s Bay!
My wife and I believe this to be the best beach on the island. Yes, the colors may be a little more interesting on Shoal Bay some days, but overall…Mead’s Bay wins it for us every time. Mead’s water is so calm and clear when we go in June/July, and it doesn’t have any rocks or sea grass that we need to watch out for. We agree that Mead’s also wins because of the cove near Malli. It’s such an easy walk right in the cove water, and it’s a great feeling to float down there in the cove for hours! Hopefully the photos show its beauty! -Jim & Linda Briggs

    Best Beach
This was my favorite beach on Anguilla. We were only here for the day, took the ferry over from Marigot St Martin, which was easy enough to navigate - just be aware it's cash only. About $76 pp round trip. We rented a car when we got here so we could have flexibility. We also went to Shoal Bay and Sandy Ground. We were here in the off season, basically had the whole beach to ourself. Was just beautiful. Save yourself the trip from Shoal Bay, Meads is much closer to the ferry terminal and much more beautiful.

    Tranquil
Incredible beauty from the sand to the pretty turquoise waters! Quiet & serene. We floated in the water, on our rafts for hours. The end part of the bay has a small little cove that you can walk to & snorkel around the rocks. We loved this bay.

    Perfect Beach with all amenities
The beach is wonderful. Clear water, soft Sandy bottom and the beach is exquisite. If you are not staying on Meads Bay, you can rent chairs and an umbrella at Blanchard’s Beach Shack. The food and drinks are great. If you are staying on Meads Bay as we did ( at the Turtles Nest ), there are many restaurants and other properties that serve food and drinks on the beach. Just a wonderful place to be!

    Beautiful beach!
My wife and I (60's) spent a few days on Meads while staying in Anguilla. Beautiful mile long beach with Malliouhanna on one side and Four Seasons on other. Several lunch and dinner spots along. Not too built up. Water can be rough

This is a simply amazing Bay on Anguilla- I would say it has the best beach on the island. The water is quite clear on most days (a little less on windy days), and the cove down on the right past Leon's is the perfect place to float in the water for hours. We met some of the best people in the water (and they came from all over the island) just to enjoy Meads Bay. Hopefully the pictures show it's beauty!

Stunnng bay and beach. Soft white sand, blue waters, and decent restaurants and bars for refreshments! Not necessarily unique in the World, but has to be one of the best.

It was quiet, but Covid presumably was the reason.

Meads Bay is my absolute favorite beach in the world. Softest sand. Cove beach with cave at one end. Wonderful restaurant along the beach such as Straw Hat my favorite. Food delicious and menu varied. Bella Blu is the best place to stay right in the middle of the long beach.

Our family's favorite beach in the entire world -- we've simply given up on finding a more perfect beach. It's never crowded, and the sunsets are exquisite. The many restaurants and places to stay (Tranquility Beach is perfectly situated at the mid-point) are just icing on the cake.

If you haven't noticed, I've written a review on Captain's Bay, Anguilla. I rated Captain's Bay my favorite beach, but I just had to write about Mead's Bay as well. Like I've said, spent two weeks on Anguilla, hitting practically all the beaches. Mead's Bay was my second favorite. Your classic Caribbean beach, on the northwest side of the island, Atlantic side, views of the horizon are breathtaking, sand so white, and the color of the water changes constantly. Doesn't get crowded at all. A few hotels are on the beach, but it doesn't detract from the fact why this beach is rated by some travel magazines/agents as one of the top ten beaches in the word.

Anguilla lacks nothing in terms of beautiful beaches. Some of these beaches have beautiful white sand as fine as baby powder and some are rocky. Some are calm and some are a bit rougher. Some are flat and some are surrounded by cliffs. Indeed, the variety of Anguilla's beaches is incredible given the size of this tiny island.

Having been to Anguilla three times and being beach fanatics, we have visited the great majority of the beaches and we have enjoyed them all for different reasons. From picture perfect Maunday's bay to jaw dropping Shoal Bay, they all have something that makes them special. However, one stands out above all and that is Meads Bay.

With its incredible hues of blue, crystal clear waters and beautiful pinkish white sand, Meads Bay is a beach lover's dream. The surf is calm most of the time, but when it gets rough is beautiful to look at. Also, the bay is not over developed thus you will have all the tranquility and space that you need. We have rarely seen more than twenty people in the whole beach. Moreover, there is a small dirt road in the middle of the bay where you can access the beach and have a good expanse of it all for yourselves. If you get hungry, there are some excellent options to choose from whether for luch or dinner. Straw Hat, Ocean Echo and Blanchard's beach shack are some of them.

Meads bay is a large open expanse of beach. So, if you feel that you need a little more intimacy, I highly recommend walking to the small cove at the east end of the beach right next to Malliouhana. Walk on top of the rocks and admire the crystal clear blue ocean, enjoy a beautiful sunset or snorkle around the caves to exlpore some marine life.

Although Meads Bay's stunning beauty is enough to take anyone by storm, it is more the feelings it conveys that make it magical. The aura of well being, tarnquility and peace that can be experienced on this beach is really something that develops into a special connection with it.

We have experienced some very special moments on Meads Bay that would take too long to describe, but they are memories that we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. That is why we always make sure we say our goodbyes to Meads before we leave the island. In fact, the last time we were there to say goodbye it was a cloudy morning and the sea looked a bit gray. As soon as we walked towards the beach, the cloud cover broke and Meads showed us its beautiful blue colors for the last time on our trip. It is simply magical!
