This use to be the best baseball park in Kern County, with families and baseball fans! Our family would take the grandkids at least once a year. Fun for local families.

Sam Lynnballpark has hosted dome of the best players in the big leagues. Unforunatly, it was the 60's 70's 80's. No notable upgrades to the facility in 40 years. The firld is not a goid playing surface and you need welding goggles to blck the...More

The Blaze was dropped by MLB, but the Pecos league picked up the location. An iconic ballpark, facing the wrong way, requiring later game starts. The scoreboard still says 'Blaze', even at the last regular season game of the Train Robbers. The ticket lady shows...More

Old historic ballpark where you are right on top of the action. Really a nice homey atmosphere. No fancy frills, level of competition is lacking but a nice way to spend an evening.

Sam Lynn brings back memories of watching the Bakersfield Dodgers as a teenager. The batting cages are always fun to keep your game on.

It is an old school ballpark, but great for the kids to see and meet up and coming ballplayers. First pitch is just after the sun sets behind the wall.

The playing field appears to be in good shape, which beats everything else about the spot. The parking is rough and doesn't make much sense. The ticket booth, entrance area would be a disaster with any kind of a crowd, but since there are few,...More

OK it's hot but it's Bakersfield in the summer. If you like heat it's a no brainer. If you don't it still is a no brainer. You get up close to the teams. Autograph no problem, Fun during the game comes in many forms. Children...More
