Centennial drive offers a nice view across Berkeley to San Francisco and the Golden Gate. Stop at the lower parking lot close to the Lawrence Hall of Science and you can see the whole area from Richmond to San Mateo. Continue to Grizzly Peak south and you get even more nice spots and views.

and the stupid street isn't labelled, hope you have GPS. But it leads to the gorgeous Botanical Gardens.

The easiest way to find this winding road up into the hills above the UC campus is to drive along Gayley/Piedmont on the east side of campus, turn toward Lawrence Hall of Science when you see the sign pointing toward it and some other destinations (at a stop sign at the intersection with Stadium Rim Way - that street may...
