Quiet area to get to without 4 wheel drive. Lots of birds in the area and easy to hike around. There is a restroom which is appreciated.

The well is largely dried up now but there is obviously a lot of underground water judging by the abundant vegetation surrounding the place. Both the flora and fauna are excellent - even in June when we visited

Saw several hummingbirds and the birds were attracted to the mistletoe that was growing. Not a difficult hike.

Drive here is pleasant and nice area to see, beautiful scenery. The different seasons have different vantage points.

Yaqui Well is a good birding stop. You can usually pull over along the road without the rangers stopping you. In winter, there is an excellent chance of seeing bighorns across from the campground.
