Description:

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards was founded in 2005 by Sta. Rita Hills...

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards was founded in 2005 by Sta. Rita Hills pioneer winegrower, and Vineyard Hall of Fame inductee, Richard Sanford. Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards places a focus on cool-climate varietals best suited to the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, chiefly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with additional production of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. The wines are distinctive, expressive, and are exemplary of the region.

Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards is committed to sustainable agricultural and business practices including organic farming and green building techniques. Alma Rosa's estate vineyards are certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), and were the first to achieve that recognition in the region. The name Alma Rosa is a tribute to the soul of the original Santa Rosa land grant on which the estate vineyards are planted. We look forward to sharing our wines with you!

We walked in and were greeted right away by a woman who said she's be right with us and told us to sit wherever we wanted. Another girl in back also greeted us. We sat for over 10 minutes and no one ever acknowledged us again even though both ladies were standing around doing nothing. So we left. They greeted... More

Looking for a Tasteing room away from the winery with nice Decore and great setting Give this one a try. The wine is much the same as other Winery's but the relaxing Room that you taste the Wine in is really neat Design nice Furinture.

Celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary, my wife and I were visiting from San Antonio doing the "Sideways" Wine Tour from the movie. Alma Rosa was a must see. Although not currently on Santa Rosa Road as in the movie, their current location on Industrial Way is amazing. The decor is exceptionally cozy and the atmosphere is perfect for wine tasting... Have always loved the wines, but the drive over to the old rustic tasting room was not great. Now, they are located just off the highway in town. The tasting room is fun and well designed. A great place to grab and glass and hang out.

Newly decorated winery, all built with refer bushed wood. Rebeka was our host for the time we were there, and she did an excellent job on telling us the stories about the grapes and the wines.

I stopped in here when I went to Fig Brewery down the road and was amazed. I like pinot noir, but all the wines were good and a couple pinots were VERY good. The tasting room was amazing, with special lumber salvaged from an old barn in the area throughout, a giant olive tree growing right in the middle and... More
