Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

It's interesting. The little park is nicely kept. If you're lucky and it's a sunny day, you will catch rainbows when the little geyser shoots up, which it does regular as clockwork. You can see the culprit (Mount St Helena) in he distance and the Palisades in the distance. Outside from that, it's more of an attraction for families with... More

The geyser shot up every 5 to 8 minutes and up to 30 to 40 feet into the air. The staff there explained to us that the short duration in between explosions was due to recent seismic activity in the area. Usually it should be more like 30 minutes apart and 60 to 100 feet into the air. It was... More

The geyser and the museum are the only real points of interest and not worth the fee charged to go in. There are some farm animals for kids and a lot of seating. May be nicer in summer? The old faithful in NZ is much more well run with better facilities and more actovites for the entrance fee charged.

It was a nice relaxing quick visit to old faithful geyser of California. Geyser comes on every few minutes. There is also a small museum and many goats. Overall, it was three star experience!

The geyser was active every 6 minutes or so when we visited. I have never seen one like that before so enjoyed the sight. The friendly goats and other animals looked well cared for and there is a nice picnic area to provide a break in the day. Do not miss the geology museum in the small building inside the... More

Had nice animals and great to see however it doesn't go that high and i would rather have spent it on a cheesecake or glass of wine.

A place to relax and have fun. The geyser was going off about every 10 minutes. The geology museum was interesting, there are many places to relax, play bocce ball and watch and feed goats. They also allow you to bring your own snacks or favorite bottle of wine from the valley. We were encouraged to return multiple times with... More

This geyser is just a few hundred yards off the highway in Calistoga. I was curious, so I stopped in. After paying the inflated entrance fee, I walked into a large open area and saw the geyser. It was "old faithful" as advertised, spurting hot water into the air every 10 to 15 minutes or so. I was the only... More

Great for kids. Picnic area and petting goats. Learning area on geology. Temporary restrooms (port a potty) inconvenient.

In my readings about Old Faithful, I had expected a much bigger and spectacular water show. When I saw it, I was disappointed. It was spewing at regular intervals but still it really is not anything much. The place itself is disappointing. The admission, for one, is so expensive and there really was not a lot to see. The farm... More
