This is a winery with a bit history attached to it, and our host Rimple spoke of it well. Both the history and the winery itself are very interesting, the sparking wines are good, but the host contributes a lot to the overall experience; We found Rimple, who is also a chef, to be knowledgeable not only about wine but... We arrived 5min late, but even though we called in advance, the tour did not wait for us to start (even though it didn't look like a very busy day). Luckily we only missed the very beginning, and we enjoyed the tour through the caves, saw an impressive amount of stacked bottles, and learned interesting facts about the wine country's... More

We had a great time during our tour of Schramsberg Vineyards. The underground caves are fascinating and their sparkling wines are delicious!!

The place and the people were classy without being pretentious. The mountainside setting + cave tour was a nice change of pace from tasting bars in the valley. We learned a lot on the tour. More wine was purchased here by our whole group than any other place we visited. Highly recommend!

Friends recommended this tour ... Was pricey ($65pp) but enjoyed our informative guide taking us through the caves and explaining the "fermented in the bottle" techniques/process all along the way. In the room before the tour, they have many pictures of the presidents/state events that have served their sparkling wines. We had tasting in the cave, with a few chairs... More

Art led our group through an informative and interesting tour followed by a wine tasting inside the Schramsberg Caves. An amazing experience

I'm a bubbly lover, so I made the reservation at Schramsberg as soon as we decided to head to Napa. The cave was interesting and wines were pleasing, but I found nothing exciting or enticing about the tour. I would have skipped it had I known.

Went for a girls' weekend, and we loved the tour and the tasting! It is a beautiful vineyard, and they encouraged photos. The sparkling wines were especially good, and our tour guide answered all of our questions, and gave us some excellent recommendations.

We enjoyed our first visit to Schramsberg. The tour in the caves was especially interesting and we loved learning about the making of sparkling wine. Somewhat disappointing that even though we joined the wine club, they said we had to pay for the tour. Excellent sparkling wines and reds. Wish we had done the the wine and cheese pairing. Would... Our party of 10 ( actually 11 if you include Sue on a stick) booked the Tour & Tasting with the Reserve Wine and Cheese pairing. The host for the tour was Rimple who gave us his undivided time and passion for wine and food over the next 2 hours that blew us away throughout ! The recipes for the... More
