This place has been a staple in downtown Calistoga for years and is always worth a visit. The place is manageably tidy, with enough artwork to get you interested, but not too much to overwhelm you. So excited to see a number of the artists represented here whose blogs I follow. Unfortunately when I tried to engage the woman working (who said the artist Paul Youngman was her husband) in a conversation of alla prima/direct painting versus indirect, she said she had no idea what this all meant. Hmmmm. The gallery was very well arranged with good lighting and easy movement paths. …

Lee Youngman is fine artist mostly local landscapes. they also show other fine artists I think alternating , but of interest, from sculpture to fine wood turning. main street calistoga is a fun street to walk .

It's actually quite refreshing to view primarily traditional Art pieces. Seems that the majority of galleries are devoted to showing modern art only. Convenient location right in town. Pleasantly presented collection...
