This place has been a staple in downtown Calistoga for years and is always worth a visit. The place is manageably tidy, with enough artwork to get you interested, but not too much to overwhelm you. Friendly lady represents her husband’s art, which occupies a majority of the wall space. I like the style of oil paintings they represent, so, for me, I liked it very much.

So excited to see a number of the artists represented here whose blogs I follow. Unfortunately when I tried to engage the woman working (who said the artist Paul Youngman was her husband) in a conversation of alla prima/direct painting versus indirect, she said she had no idea what this all meant. Hmmmm. The gallery was very well arranged with good lighting and easy movement paths.

Lee Youngman is fine artist mostly local landscapes. they also show other fine artists I think alternating , but of interest, from sculpture to fine wood turning. main street calistoga is a fun street to walk .
